Norvell at FSU testing positive and going into quarantine through their game against Miami got me wondering.

Who would take the reigns on game day if Orgeron were to test positive and miss a game?

Mickey Joseph is officially the Associate Head Coach but I find it hard to believe he would be the guy.

Pelini has been a head coach so he’s the obvious choice but Ensminger and Raymond have been around Coach O for his whole stint at LSU so they would be more likely to know what he would do in any given situation and may have more trust.

I’d think it would be Raymond so that both Bo and Slinger can focus on play calling.

I think Covid should have a backup plan in case it gets Orgeron.

Not a bad take and I didn’t think of that but did Bo not call his own defense at Nebraska and Youngstown?

I think Ed would have to hold Ensminger at gun point for him to even think about doing it.

I’m of the opinion that it would be either Raymond or Bo

I think all of the testing is being done by a 3rd party and results are delivered to the SEC. Not sure LSU could cover it up even if they wanted to.

Regardless this is just a hypothetical regarding any event that may pull Ed away from the sidelines on game day.

You can’t catch Covid if you never get tested.

Jesus Christ making irrelevant lazy remarks on this board is 100x more contagious than Covid apparently.

No one actually knows. But sure, I too can speculate with no real information.

Yes, Mickey Joseph is the associate head coach and would be technically in charge. Ensminger, Pelini and Mcmahon would need to worry about calling plays and running their units. CEO must feel Mickey Joseph would be best for overall team management. Major decisions would probably be a team decision (4th downs, fake punts, etc.)

Officially the AHC in charge of recruiting WR's and keeping the NOLA high school football coaches placated.

That's what he does. That's all that he does.

With today’s technology, Coach O could still be actively involved even without being on the sidelines.

Just don't test him and this won't be an issue

But I would imagine it would be Pelini

O would be in a suite by himself with a head set calling the shots he wanted.

It’s actually a good question. I’m kind of curious myself. I think the coordinators could do their job in isolation but the HC should be on the field.

The better question is does LSU have some sort of remote operations room with all the technology bells and whistles to handle such a situation.
