No one.

Stats no longer mean anything. All the teams here today have won a regional which means they are winning games against other good teams.

Kent State beat Kentucky twice. Stony Brook beat Miami once and UCF twice, in a row, to avoid elimination. They won 3 straight to take the regional.

St. John's? They beat East Carolina once and #6 UNC twice.

This isn't about stats anymore.

Looking at the bracket and assuming I understand it, we won't have to face another SEC team until (possibly) the championship series. So... I say we have the easiest road.

I respect Stony Brook, but I really think we have the easiest path. I hope I'm right.

yet they continue to get super hyped most years. esp. florida state who, if my memory serves me correctly, has never won a championship and has more appearances than any other school.

FSU never winning one alone is remarkable, let alone their entire conference. Virginia and North Carolina gave Bren strong for a while now.

None are easy. But the perceived easiest is Stony Brook. #4 seed and won a weaker overall regional.

That regional was the hardest regional per RPI.

1. Arkansas

2. TCU

3. LSU (stony brook is a scrappy team at the plate)!!! And, the biggest crowd they have ever played against is 1200. I think they are going to get jacked up to play in front of 10,000. I am worried about them. Just saying

WTF? You realize both those teams have to travel TO those teams parks. Oh, and they're both National Seeds who won their conferences. Step away from the crack pipe.

He is only talking about the path to Omaha, which is at most 3 games for each team that gets there. The championship series occurs between the last two teams in the nation that spur from the 8 that make it to omaha

Arizona's park has very quirky dimensions and St John's will not be able to adapt in time to take 2/3.

Looked it up, damn that's a big park

So if you realize that, do you have any other reasoning other than your gut?

TCU has to play at UCLA which is the most decrepit park and has the worst fan base. I think they breeze through.

Because one team has a shitty park and few fans, that's why you think another team wins?

Weird.

Just for reference cause you left me hanging thunderbird, the dimensions for Arizona's park, according to Wiki, are:

quote:

366 ft – Left
410 ft – Center-Left
392 ft – Center
405 ft – Center-Right
349 ft – Right

That's hellishly strange.
