I was there. It was an ugly game but at that point I wasn't even mad.

Maybe bc the year before we lost at home to Houston. I wasn't mad about that either.

And beat us in OT? Josh Booty was awful that night. Rohan came in the next week and we upset TN.

Why doesnt saban get berated for mismanaging qbs? Only 2 qbs he recruited and coached their whole LSU careers. Mauck and Randall.

Cus of Les Miles.

Let us not forget the 34-17 loss to aub, 41-9 loss to UF, and the 14-3 loss to arky that season. Not a great first season for Saban.

I was there. It was my freshman year. Sat through the whole game with a buddy who now posts a lot on the MSB.

What I remember most was the Booty pic costing us the game, and then apparently he was having dinner later that night at the Chimes and laughing and carrying on. As it would be, the SRA of my dorm that year (a big ole mean SOB) was sitting at the table next to Booty and kept sarcastically asking him "what's so funny? Did you see the game? We lost, quit laughing!" It was funny hearing him tell the story in a thick Meraux accent.

The following week one of the Reveille sportswriters who normally wrote disparaging articles on the team actually wrote a good "Braveheart themed " article about Rohan replacing Booty and leading LSU to victory over the Vols that coming weekend.

Rohan did just that, leading LSU to victory in one of the biggest wins in over a dozen years, officially starting the Golden Era of Tiger football that we are still enjoying today

I never was upset at Booty for the audible. Every player makes mistakes. The real issue was that UAB was even in position to win in the first place. The other issue was Rohan should've been playing instead in 2000 and 2001.

Mack Brown's brother had the Blazers ready to play. What's the deal with lil Nicky and the upsets in his first year at LSU and Bammer? People seem to forget he's had some embarrassing defeats in his tenure.

I know Saban was coaching that team. He didn't have a clue.

Misssed the UAB game but got great tickets afterwards for TN just walking around the stadium for my son and I. Was part of the fans that rushed the field.

Freshman year as well for me. I remember walking out and thinking how the hell did we lose to them. I don't really remember much of anything else.

I was there. Although I had my season tickets, my good friend gave me two tickets for the Eagle 98.1 suite and so my Bro In Law and me went in the suite. Other than the great food, had a terrible time because of the game. I remember, telling my Bro In Law maybe Saban wasn't the right man for the job. LOL. Need to get some payback this Saturday night. Only downer is that Watson Brown won't be on their sideline jumping up and down like a wild maniac.
