Who else hates being associated with this program now? (because of the fans)

I live close to Notre Dame currently, and I can tell you unequivocally we have some of the most self entitled, world is endling fans. Everyone that I interact with thinks we are crazy for considering firing Miles and the general consensus outside of the LSU bubble is that the likelihood of getting a BETTER coach is not great.
Everyone just assumes that you can take recruiting out of the equation when hiring a coach. That is crazy. The people on this board want to bash Miles for getting the talent and then use it against him when he loses. Well guess what people, we might not get those players if Miles is not here.
Second, we are 8-2 about 2 weeks from the top 5. Have we been in bad form this year? Yes. Were the odds against us against Alabama? Yes. Look at the Vegas line, we were expected to lose!
We are not entitled to 10, 11 win seasons. And that has been what Miles has provided us aside from last year. Theres a great chance we will win double digits against this year. Everyone just assumes a seamless transition with a new coach, everyone assumes Alleva is going to hire the right guy, everyone assumes the same players will come here when Miles is gone.
The same negativity that they put on Miles, instantly flips to positivity when they look into the future. They expect perfection, when just as likely change will bring mediocrity.
We have not experienced mediocrity under Miles(aside from last year). But if you want to get rid of a 78% coach based on one year and 2 games then I have some great penny stocks to pitch you that will be worth a fortune in 5 years.

Auburn fired a NC winning coach one year and hired a new one that brought them to another NC appearance the next year with a fricking DB converted to a QB. Miles can't even recruit a real QB, much less convert one. Your argument will be they suck this year, but that won't last long.
It happens, there's lots of good coaches out there. Miles isn't one of them, he's a dinosaur and a stubborn conservative, hard head.
An innovative coach would go ape shite over our talent and reap major dividends with a new scheme and a fresh outlook.
Miles schtick is old and worn out.

My wife feels that way. She is not from Louisiana and didn't go to LSU.
Look, I think Miles deserves another year.
But with each passing year, I believe he is Cholly Miles.

This year was analogous to 1973. Look it up. Undefeated start. Lost to Bama and team didn't win another game. From '74 onwards, LSU was mediocre. To be fair, so was every other team not named Bama in the SEC. But this isn't the 70s and the SEC is far more competitive.
One more year. Two tops. He needs to discover how to develop a QB or we need to pull the plug.

You're pathetic dude. You act like we're going through some penn St type scandal or something

Always proud to be associated with LSU ... The only thing that would change that would be something like the Penn State or UNC academic scandal.

I get what you're saying, but 2008 was pretty mediocre. Malveto gave up over 50 points twice that year and the pick 6 thing still haunts our play calling.

I should have read the whole post before replying ... Don't hate being associated with LSU but I hate our whiny fans.

When's the last time LSU won the sec west, sec, bcs bowl, natty or beat Bama?
This problem is more than just last season and 2 games this year.
Most expensive coaching staff in the country plus a metric shitton of talent should equal WAY more results than we see now.

Me, too.
The usual suspects are out in force - rooting against the team to facilitate a change they want. I despise them for it. They are the worst sort of "fan".
I made some posts today suggesting the team has quit (because that's how it looks) - but I'm a certified positiger. I'm not happy with the turn of the past 2 games - lots to be worked on, but winning is something our fan base takes for granted.
"Anybody can coach and win at LSU."
bullshite. Tell that to Texas. Tell that to Tennessee. Tell that to Miami.

Well speaking of stock picks, what would you say if you owned company A. Company A does great most of the time(78%), except when Company B(SECw) pushes the envelope. Company A has all the resources needed to be competitive, but always lags behind Company B due to their lack of use of email(modern football tactics). They prefer snail mail(70s football tactics). And then when they do use email, they're the guys who send out chain emails(see our inept (modern day) passing game). Would you not prefer to own company B stock?

Did you happen to get an opinion from the local Notre Dame fans if they themselves would be satisfied with the results in Baton Rouge. They don't seem to hold on to coaches too long.
