Dalton Hilliard was the best back in the open field that I ever saw at LSU. He was the only guy who could cut while running full speed downfield. Defenders were left grabbing air.

I'm not using stats, only judgment. The question wasn't who had the greatest YPC. I don't need stats to tell me Collins was the best back we ever had for the time he was here. My eyes told me that.

Doc Fenton, Jimmy Taylor, Jeremy Hill, Abe Mickal, Terry Robiskie, Garry James, Jacob Hester, LaBrandon Toefield, Art Cantrelle, Charles Scott, Joseph Addai, Rondell Mealey, Eddie Fuller, Domanick Davis, Tommy Casanova, Brad Davis, Hokie Gajan, Alley Broussard, Stevan Ridley, Lora Hinton, Jesse Myles, Terrance Magee, , Sammy Martin, Odell Beckham Sr., Eddie Ray, Chris Dantin, Glenn Smith, Trigger Allen, Michael Ford, Spencer Ware
One of the most complete and accurate lists. Should Stovall be on here maybe? Good job.

Yep, time to close this thread.

Yes! I forgot about Jerry. Although he played safety for the Cardinals, he also played tailback and returned kicks at LSU. He also finished SECOND in the Heisman - I think '62 or '63 to Oregon State QB Terry Baker..

I find it amusing that the Fournette-love is so strong that people are putting him in the top 5 after one good freshman season.
I like Fournette, but damn, ease off the man-love and let him earn a top 5 spot on the field with production, not potential.
And remember, I like Fournette, but have grown very weary of the over-the-top hype.
