Devin White

I'm excited to see how Aranda and co.develop Corey Thompson at LB. Voorhees as well.

Devin White and Rashard Lawrence. Sure I'm excited about the vets, but I already know what they have.
Mostly, I'm excited to see a swarming, high risk and high reward, defense. As someone posted earlier, the dline is the foundation. We are deep, athletic, and experienced at dline. The only thing we're not is big.

D. White and Jackson. Jackson is the best playmaker in the secondary and on special teams.

But Key can be the best pass rusher weve had
Absolutely agree, with Aranda's scheme he has potential to be one of the greats

SO many guys to pick from but the two guys I think I'm most excited about are Toliver, because I think he reaches that potential most expected from him this year and Savion Smith because I think he may be the next Patrick Peterson.

Aranda's impact on bringing our D back to an aggressive dominating firm that will take us to the ship.

THis and getting off the field after third down.

Arden Key
If he lives up to his potential the next 2 seasons in this defense he'll be a top 5 draft pick

I agree w/ the poster who said he's most excited in seeing some of the new guys since we kinda know what to expect w/ the established guys. Having said that, I agree w/:
1. Lots of playing time w/ #1 defense by end of season.
2. Defensive dackages designed for him
quote:Honestly, part of my excitement w/ Devin is because he's a local guy who I've watched play for 4 years. But regardless, he brings a unique skill set w/ size, strength, speed and good instincts. Two things I expect for Devin:
Nice call on White. He can be special

all these different defensive things are nice ,what I am most looking foreward to is a experienced defensive line !

The entire defense in the last two minutes of each half against
the Mulligump Skoal Drool Things..

Adams. He has adequate to above average coverage skills mainly because he turns his hips like melted butter, but he brings the old Roy Williams mentality to the position. but modified to the current game. look around the country, not many SS with the speed/technical skill JA has coupled with downhill intent

No has mentioned Devon Godcheaux - he is the domino that kicks off the the knock. Me down roll!

Tolliver is going to have a stellar year. Smith's HS highlights look like Honey Badger. Key, just wow. Adams, yeah I'm beginning to think this could be 2011 type defense.
BUT Beckwith. If Beckwith, with one year under Aranda gets projected into the top 15 picks - how does Moses say Alabama when he picks up the hat?

I'm excited about every starter on this defense but I'm most interested in seeing if Godchaux is going to be a difference maker at NT. If he can have the kind of year Drake Nevis had in 2010, this defense will be really tough. Nevis played over the center a lot that year and caused problems for centers cause he was so quick off the ball.
