I’m 61. Been going to games since the early 80s. It was such a big deal I don’t remember it and don’t see anything about it on the internet. What the hell are you talking about?
Went to MANY games before Skip was ever there. Just because something isn’t on the internet doesn’t mean it didn’t happen dumbass.
“ What once threatened as Bertman’s biggest controversy struck in October 2006, when he failed to disclose the sale of his summer baseball camp to his coaching successor, Laval. An internal audit revealed Laval paid Bertman $100,000 for the business. After meeting with SEC and NCAA officials, former LSU Chancellor Sean O’Keefe announced Bertman had not violated university rules. No league fines were issued, and the incident faded.
Last fall three of Bertman’s former players were named in the infamous Mitchell Report for allegedly using illegal steroids or human growth hormone in the professional ranks. The players named in the report are pitchers Paul Byrd and Ryan Jorgensen, and outfielder Armando Rios. Bertman says his LSU staff ran a clean program, recruiting power hitters and strikeout pitchers with an emphasis on strength training, and never facilitated or encouraged steroid use.”

Okay they may have been taking andro but that’s nothing compared to what they were probably taking.

1. Corbin-Vandy
2. Sullivan-Florida
3. Bakich-Michigan
4. Mcdonnell-Louisville
5- Toss up
We need to go after Bakich NOW. He's the guy. He can bring us back to Championship caliber. Guaranteed. What he's done at a Big 10 school is nothing short of a miracle. They hadn't been to the CWS since 1984 before he got there. and he had them in the damn finals and came VERY close to winning it. Vandy and Michigan last year were FAR better coached than LSU has been in years

His summer camps have always been known to be sketchy. The Mitchell report was MLB right? That’s pro baseball. If you want to bring up the 96 & 97 teams that has some relevance but I have never seen any proof outside of the eye factor. We probably share the same opinion but I won’t tarnish anyone without proof.

Hinch was hired by Jeff L. I can tell you’re a huge fan.
Hinch just sat his sorry arse in that dugout in 15 and whacked off. Doesn’t make me less of a fan and didn’t want run like MANY others including last year. He notoriously left pitchers in too long and made excuses with his shift failing. Verlander hated all the shifting.

Nope. You are just exaggerating in saying it was a huge deal. It wasn’t as huge a deal as you are making it out to be.

You implied that Hinch predated Luhnow. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Astros fans have enough to deal with currently without this kind of foolishness.
Thank you, move on.

Corbin would make LSU THE monster program again, that Baton Rouge remembers...

As an Astros fan and season ticket holder, a lot of fans hated Hinch. In fact until Jeff L came we were ready to run him out of town. He is not a good manager.
He took a terrible team to the playoffs his very first season.
He won 311 games over the past 3 seasons.
I wasn't his biggest fan, but to say he was not a good manager makes you look like a complete idiot.

There’s Jeff Willis 830-189 over 18 yrs as LSUE Head Coach. He may be a junior college coach but he always brings his teams to the World Series. Proven success with new guys coming in each year.
Lol you think you can use a juco example of bringing new guys in every year?
