Also, Ronnie Haliburton. From TE to LB.

HIESMAN TROPHY WINNER is none other than Billy Cannon. He played tightend for the K.C. Chiefs then went to Oakland Raiders where he became an all pro. He hurt his back while at Houston Oilers and he led the league in rushing the year before he got hurt. Thought he was through with football but he came back and was traded to the Cheifs where Hank Stram but him at thightend. The rest is history.

AJ Duhe - DT to LB

Jerry played safety at LSU and about everything else. He was RB, SS, best receiver on the field, punter, ko returner. So really he didn't change positions, he just played what was best suited for him in the NFL. Stovall and Cannon were incredibly gifted as multi-dimensional athletes. Stovall should have also won the Heisman, but came in second due to being too close to Cannon winning his, IMHO.

Yep, to go from OG to LB is a big change.
Didn't he also play LB for the Tigers, as well as OG? Either way, to be stout enough to play OG and athletic enough to play OUTSIDE LB for a championship caliber NFL team is mighty impressive.

He went from a winning Safety/Running back to a losing horrible coach.

Mutually exclusive. Are you any good at either of these?

Roy "Mooney"Winston
Must have been pretty bad arse too. My father-in-law grew up with the Winston's up on Evangline Street and tells a story about Mooney and his brother. Mooney got pissed over a sand lot football game and he and his brother started fighting. Mooney picked up a 2x4 and broke his bother's leg. Not sure how true it is but bad arse none the less.
