Not gonna get my fans at a shitty team's games in a college stadium an hour away. And I actually think you're right about the lack of cars thing. Many of the po' in NOLA are huge Saints fans and couldn't care less about LSU.

I don't think you'll find many, if any, LSU fans that have a problem with that.

While the physical distance is only about 60 miles, we in Baton Rouge have always enjoyed that.

ie for the most part we want nothing to do with NOLA proper.

Amen. I was always more worried about (and actually witnessed) fights, mass idiocy, and drunken stupidity at any LSU event than I ever was going to a Saints game.

Part of the reason I always liked them more, I guess

I figured fans from Baton Rouge northward would vote LSU, and fans southward would be about 50/50.

Agree - LSU has equal following all over the state but the further north you go you start to see less Saints support and more Cowboys and evenTexans fans and a lot of that is due to TV coverage...at least as far as the Cowboys are concerned.

I would say Saints have more loyal fans.

LOL. You mean like 10 years ago when they couldn't sell out the dome to save their life. The saints fans are the epitome of ban wagon fans. Ill admit, there are some very loyal ones that went to the games when Aaron brooks and Jeff Blake were at the helm, but the number of saints fans about doubled after Drew Brees got here and that's being conservative.

Are you from north or south of I-10? And, did your family go to college at LSU?

How you answer these questions likely determines your pick.

Now that tNola trash has been pretty much flushed out of those parishes, the future looks bright.

In a game yes. After a game in NOLA you are getting pick-pocketed, shot, mugged or raped (if you're a woman. So lets not start comparing thuggish behavior at these 2 team venues.

Curley Hallman was the coach of LSU my freshman year and you could get football tickets for a few bottle caps, some pocket lint, and a half chewed Skittle. My friends and I spent many a lonely second half being amongst a handful of people still in the stadium. I don't remember the upper deck ever being filled, I don't give a shite whether the game was technically a sell out or not.
