I would have to say Baker because I think we have capable LB's but I havent seen any "studs"...I still wish they would move Maclin to mike so that we could have a big run stuffing mike LB in there...i have a lot of confidence in Chavis and I know speed kills, but man, our LB's are small...

Jefferson/Lee![]()
(1) NCAA FBS #1 ranking in fewest interceptions;
(2) NCAA FBS #10 ranking in QB Rating; and
(3) NCAA FBS #15 ranking in yards per attempt.
Those are pretty damn strong NCAA FBS rankings, and they are all Best in the SEC.
It's unlikely that Mett will be that good.

Taylor.
But Landon Collins will fill in nicely

So you have the reading comprehension part down, but you still give the wrong answer.
Claiborne will be missed the most. Truth

Taylor/Baker.... and even that loss will be hardly noticed. As we are so deep... even though we lose NJ and Lee.. I think we will be better with Mett.

Yes. That wasn't the question. At least he got the reading comprehension part.

I'm gonna go with Baker. Taylor is a better player, but we have really quality depth behind him if healthy. And if Collins comes to LSU then we will be stacked with safeties.

Jefferson/Lee They are the best QBs in the SEC, and among the best in the NCAA. They provide different methods to attack a defense. They provide depth. They will be missed.
We will have their total package in Mett. They will not be missed one bit. I will be elated to finally get rid of this QB fiasco.

The op should have worded his question differently IMO

I do know that the absence of Daniel Graff has impacted the Kick off coverage. I miss him this year.

You guys saying Baker are wrong. Miner has stepped up this year and will be a force next year,IMO

Crappell. Dudes always money. I don't even know who his backup is. He's also a heck of a leader.

Position breakdown:
Taylor, remember he played his best FB when Reid went back there at FS, I think that if we land Collins we'll be just fine at Safety. Reid is such a coach back there, allowed Taylor to be an athlete and fly around the field.
Love Brooks, but think he is easily replaced by one of the Freshman in waiting.
Blackwell/T-Bob were incredible this year; however, with Dworaczyk coming back (hopefully) and the studs we have at OL I think this group will be better next year. YR3 of Hurst and Lonergan, YR2 of Faulk/Williford we are really only replacing backups with more talented backups.
QB, although I do think Mett is more talented and a better QB, always worry about the unknown and that is what he is.
However, after all that I'd have to say LB'r. I know sounds funny; however, think about our weakest position this year is LB'r with 3 of our top 4 rotational LB'rs being Seniors (Hatcher/Baker/Francois) yet if it's our weakest position why couldn't any of the backups break into the rotation? Makes you wonder. Hope I'm wrong and Barrow/Muncie/Randle/Jones/Welter/Freshman step up..
If our Juniors leave (RR/MC)..this changes things

aint going no where.....not with Mett primed to give him a 1000 yds 10 TD season before the draft, he may have touched 1000 yds this year until JJ was put back in....no chance of that now...
