I think Lee can be better, but i'm certainly disappointed in his progress. He should have the QB job locked up with Hatch being his competition.

The great and mighty Jamarcus Russell was unable to beat out Marcus Randall when JR was a reshirt freshman. Were you disappointed with his progress at that time too?

Oh and without seeing Hatch play in a game yet, I'm going to predict AH > MR.

Why? Hatch is a RS Sophomore who is two (or three) years older, has some post-high school game experience, was a top-notch WAC-caliber QB recruit, and was recruited specifically for the scheme of Gary Crowton BY Gary Crowton. Why would you think a RS Freshman whose last game-snap was in high school two years ago should automatically have beaten him out two weeks into training camp?

Is an Ivy league JV game really that much different than high classification Texas high school ball? Probably not.

Not that this comment is inspiring anyway, but is there any proof of this?

Crowton offered him when he was at BYU and that was his only offer other than some Ivy league teams according to a blurb on the Nevada high school site of the Rivals network. When Crowton was forced out, either Hatch wanted nothing to do with BYU or the new BYU staff didn't want him.

Why didn't Crowton recruit him to Oregon? If he was a "high level WAC recruit", or a potential SEC starter, why didn't he make any sort of splash at Harvard?

someone may have already pointed this out, but this is hardly a fair or particularly meaningful question given neither Hatch nor Lee has had any real playing time.

Damn Casey Dick is a senior. Damn it sucks being in the same class with Darren Mcfadden & Felix Jones. Cuz I forgot about ole Casey.

this kid hasnt proven anything to me as of yet.

Nor to Spurrier . . . which is why Tommy Beecher is the starting QB for the Gamecocks. Beecher is more mobile and has a stronger arm than Smelley.

Beecher would start at LSU ahead of Lee and Hatch as well. Losing Perriloux could really cost the Tigers, but it was clearly the right decision for Les Miles.

Pulley was probably a Yes until he got kicked off the team... who knows about Hartline

Smelley is at least interchangable with Lee I'd have to believe...Dick is certainly not better...let's see how Burns passes the ball, which I hear can be an adventure...Carroll isn't ever going to much better than anything we trot out there...

Tebow, Stafford, Crompton are all better than lee. But, the rest of the conference Is not better than lee. I would rather have lee(rs Fr)than anyone else in the scc.
