I would disagree on several counts. I think the primary reason Lee didn't get back in is that Miles decided that the game didn't play to his strengths. In other words, the interceptions weren't the cause of him getting pulled, but a symptom of the larger problem, i.e. Bama's coverage didn't give Lee and our receivers any space at all. (No one smothers a passing attack like Saban's D.) And, the power running game wasn't getting any traction, which added to the problems. JJ was able to spread the field laterally (utilizing Ford's speed to good effect) and he was able to extend a couple of drives with his legs. While this didn't result in any TDs, it did shift field position by 10-20 yards on occasion (crucial in a game like this!), where we might well have suffered a lot more 3-and-outs if Lee had been in, not because he's not a good QB, but because we were playing into Bama's defensive strength with him in there, something Miles realized pretty quickly. And, remember, it was JJ who drove us on our only sustained drive of the night, at the end of the first half. If I remember correctly, that's the only time either team got to within the 10 yard line until overtime.
Going forward, I agree with those who say that Lee should start and get plenty of work this week, if for nothing else, then to get his confidence back. We'll need both QBs down the stretch, and I suspect that Les will play one or the other depending on what the D gives him.

We won't face another D like Bama's. JJ is a nice change of pace and a nice option QB. He is not a starter or a wire to wire guy. He simply cannot pass the ball with any consistency.
Look at our passing efficiency numbers with him the past 2 years and Lee this year.
We need Lee to remain confident, start, manage the game and pass the ball. We need JJ to bring in a change of pace, run the option. We need both, but they need to stay in their roles.
The end. If you think anything else, you're a rantard.

I'd go with Jefferson. Lee lost the starting job against Bama when he returned to his old ways.

One FG was due to Mo's int.
And 2 of their FG were due to int's ! If not for the block in back the last one it would have been returned deep into our side of field !
And if that would have happen when JJ was in ! It would have made your day !

Ya! He can only help you beat a team like BAMA.
Hopefully we don't have to play them again !!!!!

Everyone has said all year he would be needed for that game. He's suited for it. We wouldn't be able to run up the middle or pass with any consistency, we needed a lateral/option threat. That wasn't a secret.
We're going to need to go back to power I, play action down the field. Lee does that well against most teams. JJ provides a change of pace.
I'm pretty sure the body of work for both this year and last suggests that unequivocally, rantard.

Look, this team needs to prepare to play against championship-level defenses, and JL proved he doesn't have what it takes to handle an elite defense.
Use the next two games to give JJ 80% of the snaps, get him ready for Arky, SECCG and beyond.
Lee is a great guy and all, but...I'm a complete idiot and don't know what the frick I'm talking about so ignore everything I said.
FIFY moron

If we could have run the ball up the middle early Lee probably would have stayed in or played again. But we had to stretch the field and JJ, even though I hate it, is the guy to do that. And he can complete a pass, if he would ever let go of the sumbitch.
I'm gonna reflect what Mark May said this morning. He said M. Ford was the key in us winning this game. And he's second string.

Face it dude, Lee is a great guy but HE CAN NOT WIN THE BIG ONE. Sure everyone will bitch at me for saying this but JJ can handle the pressure of elite teams...Lee can't handle the pressure
I guess UF in the Swamp and Alabama at home in 2010, and the Ducks and Mountaineers on the road were all HS teams JL performed at a high level against?
Another idiot.

All three qb's need to see the field, sit the running backs and throw the ball 100 times. The backs don't need practice.
But we will end up with about 20 attempts the whole game.

Stick with the rotation that got us here as we will need Lee to be sharp down the stretch to beat Arky and the SECE Champ.
This... and no doubt CLM is thinking the same thing.

Why not start Mett so he can get some game time experience for next year?

Why lie, you POS?
Each team got a FG after an int. Bama's 2nd FG came after a long drive

Why !!!! Lee had 1 pass in last year's game and won the game!
Rantard suggested = If he could have hit 2 this game it would have been a blowout

Why call POS ?
Bama tried too kick so many damm FG'S I could have lost track of the one's they made! U-MAD

Start Lee.
Play JJ like Auburn/UF
play Mettenburger the entire second half.

So you would be in favor of yanking JJ if he returns to his "old ways?" Serious question. Then, whenever a QB has a rough go, yank them and keep doing this for the next 5 games until it's just over?
I doubt the coaching staff thinks like you and no matter who "starts" there should be some security beyond your next mistake.

I'm of the opinion that JJ's old ways are preferable to JL's old ways...

I suppose it depends how much in form those "old ways" are. Since I have only seen three INT's this year, I am not convinced we are there. Both QB's have done well this year.
