Coaching is part of the problem but the talent on this team isn’t great either. IMHO

Crews, Morgan, Marceaux, and Hill will.

Doughty, Dugas, Fontenot, Floyd, and Edwards have a chance.

I think Crews and Morgan have a good shot to make the majors. Marceaux has an outside shot and I’m pulling for him.

Exactly. Besides Marceaux, Morgan and Crews the talent is average at best

Morgan won’t play 1b in bigs.

We don’t know. Hellmers and other young arms may end up being studs. The truth is, last signing class is a damn strong group.

Crews and Morgan. Maybe Marceaux. Several freshman pitchers have potential but it’s hard to project whether they’ll develop. Thompson has the talent too. Having 2-3 MLB guys on a college roster isn’t a small number fwiw

Perfect time to make a switch at head coach and coach up these young talented players before this current staff has a chance to frick them all up.

Eddy Furniss was drafted in the 4th round. He was a damn good college player but he didn’t pan out in the pros.

Some of you guys are saying maybe Marceaux. He’s in the top 100 prospects in this draft. Obviously there’s no guarantees, but Marceaux has a really good chance to make a big league roster.

The top line you listed will have a shot. Crews and hill probably have the best shot. The second line probably will not start in AA ball. I think Thompson has a shot as well.

Doughty has the best shot out of that group of the position players. Dugas is a good player, but he’s limited to a shot at 2B in the bigs. I agree that Thompson has a shot just based on his physical tools.

It’s obviously too early to tell on Floyd and Edward’s.

Dr.Eddy didn't care for the minor league life and had medical school waiting for him

Who is it that’s responsible for assembling a talented roster, again...?

Morgan, Crews, and Marceaux are candidates for the big show. Dugas and Doughty are Double AAer’s. Right now barring Thompson developing, the rest of the team is below average college baseball players. When you add all the parts together you get a below average baseball team who can’t hit consistently that struggles against good pitching.

that was my point.
making it to MLB is extremely difficult and in no way should be the barometer of how talented a college roster is or isn’t.
