Offense- I'm really expecting this to be a huge year for Drake Davis his film from high school was truly elite

Defense- I think Rashard Lawrence will really have a breakout season. Coaches have been praising him and also had the elite film

While I do agree that Drake Davis is due for a breakout year, he only had like 16 catches as a senior in high school. I wouldn't exactly call that elite.

Can we get a moratorium on posts that include this?

For 431 yards and 7 touchdowns.......I'm not going to research or speculate why he didn't play a lot or wasn't used much but the point is when he was targeted, he did really big things.

Will Drake Davis start this year? don't know much about the kid so that's why I'm asking. Hearing a lot about him on the board but didn't see him much last year so I am wondering where all this talk about him is coming from.

All those stats tell me us he ran 1 route in high school and when they could get the ball to him, he was a home run threat.

Let me reiterate that I think this kid is going to be a very good player for LSU and will breakout next year.

BUT you can't tell me that a kid that only made 11 catches had elite film. Elite film means you could throw to the kid on any down, in any situation and he's coming down with the ball and then making defenders look dumb on top of that. I'll admit he was exceptionally productive when the ball was in his hands but if he were truly elite, he would have gotten the ball more than 11 times.

Remember Calvin Johnson at Georgia Tech? Sometimes there are other factors. But I don't really know much about Drake or where he went to school or the offense he ran. So basically I know nothing and should keep my fingers off the keyboard.

How many rushing attempt and yards did he have? You do know that our new offense has the potential for wide recievers to get a lot of rushing yards. Quadree Henderson had over 600 rushing yards for pitt last year playing wide reciever.

To the OP:

Ill Take Derick Dillon on Offense
And Ed Paris on Defense (I always thought safety was his natural position)

Calvin Johnson's College career. That is elite.

Etling - he is getting the 1st team reps and attn. No BH in front of him. OC is there, veteran OL for protection, and dynamic RB to hand off to.

Divinity - move to ILB was smart. Guy has the size and ATH ability to make plays, and needs to be on the field. Look fwd to seeing him and D. White together out there punishing ball carriers.

DJ Chark- Good running game will open up the pass and the tradition of 7 will live on as a playmaker

Devin White-High energy player with the ability to get better every snap. Reminds me of a quicker Beckwith, will help keep the reputation of a traditional LSU defense
