We are not known as a big basketball school but we did have flashes that were great. From the bob petit, pistol Pete, 1986 final four, Chris Jackson, Shaq, stromile Swift, and 2096 final four team. Also, it can be other teams that were not great like those teams.

For me it is the 1991-1992 Team with Shaq, vernell Singleton, clarance ceaser, and geert hammink. My dad started taking me to LSU games as a 5-6 year old when Shaq was there his last year. I just fell in love with basketball. As a kid that was so fun for me to experience. We had a lot of talent and the deaf dome was rocking. I had their team picture with all their autographs.

My second favorite team was the 1999-2000 team with Stromile Swift, Jabari smith, Collins temple III, torris bright, Lamont Roland, and Ronald Dupree. After being put on probation because of the Lester earl case we went years where we sucked to end the 90s. I never thought we would be great again. That team against number 1 Arizona changed everything that year. We were blowing out teams left and right. I thought we were going to be a final four team but we ran into some white boys from Wisconsin lol.

Honorable mention:
2005-2006 team
What I love about that team was tasmin, big baby, tyrus, garret were from Baton Rouge besides Darryl Mitchell. Tyrus Thomas was a freak and growing up hating duke we made JJ Redick cry lol.

2002-2003 team
I thought that was a fun team with Jaime lloreda, Antonio Hudson, Collins temple III, and Ronald Dupree

I’m a young guy, so right now I’m rolling with the 2018-2019 team. Second place would be the Mickey Martin year with a first round exit in the tournament. Still pissed that NC state guy hit that ridicilous hook shot because no doubt we would have beaten Villanova with a 1 seed in the round of 32.

The first team where I was old enough to actually really know what was going on in the game. I loved that team so much and I've carried a grudge against Wisconsin since then.

1986. I was 10. When I started watching them on TV regularly. #11 seed LSU reaches the final four that year with Fess Irvin, Daryl Joe, Ricky Blanton,Anthony Wilson, Jose Vargas, John “hot plate” Williams, and Don Redden.

Redden (who like Wayne And Wayde sims wore #44) led the team through the tourney when All-American Williams grew cold. After Redden passed away in 1988 (2 months after pistol Pete) I changed my number to his and wore #44 the rest of junior high and high school.

I liked 79/80. Fun to watch. Sims, Martin, Hultberg, Carter, Macklin, Scales, Black, and Cook.

Lowest seeded team to ever make the Final Four at that time. Damn Pervis Ellison.

Joe and Fess weren’t on the 85-86 final four team. They came the next season and lost in the elite 8 to Indiana. Derrick Taylor was the 85-86 point guard.
