Deion Sanders Will be Replacing Brian Kelly at LSU

The biggest speculation throughout the 2024 College Football season revolved around Deion Sanders and his coaching future.
With Shedeur Sanders entering the 2025 NFL Draft, it continues the question as to if Sanders will stay in Colorado long-term
After a season without Shedeur, Deion could look to go to another program, one that will give Sanders a boost in his college football coaching legacy.

That job happens to be at LSU, where Sanders will be a prime candidate to take over for Brian Kelly.

It’s clear Brian Kelly has lost the locker room and that is starting to impact the team morale both on the field, and off the field as the players look dejected.

During his first season in 2022 they went 10-4, then in Kelly’s second season they went 10-3. Things have shifted though as the losses continue to pile up, as how they have lost those games and what has happened on the sidelines as well in those games has started to ruin the culture of the team under Kelly.

For this past season, a good representation of this is the Alabama game. The Tigers had their bye week, leaving two weeks for them to prepare, and instead they came out flat allowing 420 yards from Alabama and making too many mistakes on offense. The Tigers were unprepared and that falls back on Kelly.

They followed up that loss with looking dejected against the Florida Gators, a team with lesser talent that they should’ve beaten. LSU lost 27-16, and during it Kelly had an altercation with Chris Hilton on the sideline, which adds to what has been several meltdowns towards players this season which includes Shelton Sampson, Damian Ramos, and Garrett Nussmeier.

Kelly doesn’t have what it takes to lead a quality team, and the culture under him is nonexistent causing locker room issues and the play on the field to resemble a team that doesn’t want to play for him. The Tigers need a true leader that knows how to coach and develop players

With Sanders, he can do just that. The big thing with Sanders as a coach starts with his ability to build a player-friendly culture. That approach has gotten the most out of players at both Jackson State and Colorado, and is exactly what LSU needs as well.

The LSU Tigers already have better talent for Sanders coming in, but what Sanders know how to do at an efficient level is recruit. At an SEC program like LSU that has a rich history and in a prime recruiting spot, Sanders would be able to fully showcase his ability as a recruiter and get LSU fully back on track in that area. While Kelly can recruit, he isn’t great at developing talent, which is something else Sanders provides an upgrade for as he is. With having the background of being a former player, plus coaching experience, Sanders is the ideal candidate to take the LSU job and be successful.

There’s a ton of garbage articles out there these days. And yes, you can tell when AI is used. Not sure if this one did or not. Question, is it really journalism if AI is used to write it? Answer- NO.
