That mobility has proven to be a fallacy.

It’s not a fallacy, but it has been negated. First, O has made it clear that they aren’t going to run Max. If he’s never a threat to run beyond scrambling, defenses don’t really have to worry about it.

As for his mobility in the pocket, Max is definitely quicker than Myles. Unfortunately, his indecisiveness pretty much cancels it out. Just like many of his passes, many of his scrambles are a second too late and too tentative.

For an example of how important decisiveness is, go back and watch Joe scramble. Max is likely as fast as, or faster than Burrow, but Joe made quick decisions and fully committed to the run when it was there or he had to.

We would be hitting more big pass plays. I think Myles would have made UCLA pay more for blitzing. I think he would have kept it closer, but I don’t know if he could overcome the poor defensive performance in the 2nd half.

Probably in the same position cause he woulda got hurt some other way. He just seems like one of those guys that will stay hurt playing such a physical sport

1. With his experience Myles would not be looking as tentative as Max.
2. We would have more than zero passes longer than 20 yards.
Make a difference? I dunno. But I would have LOVED to see him try and then have Max come in and save the day if he couldn’t!
Maybe that would have kept you wolves at bay just a little longer.

Oh we have a QB problem along with LB and OL. #3 RB is not quick enough to run the RPO, more of a down hill runner out of the I formation.

Before the season started my thoughts were we would be lucky to go 9-3 at worst 8-4.

Now after watching the first two games not looking good.

But looking at the glass half full we possibly could enter the Bama game with 1 loss, who knows

Anyone who thought, or still thinks, that Johnson was better than a 5th year, mature Brennan, doesn’t know how important maturity means to an SEC quarterback. Myles was going to be the starter and I truly believe we would be 2-0 with Myles.

Myles would not have survived the first game! Go back a look at the shots Max took in that game.

Did you watch the Ms St game last year? Myles came out with a Deer in the Headlights look.

CMU/MSU/Aub/Kentucky/Fla/OM…1% chance to be 1 loss by alabana.

He would have been sacked probably 10 times in that UCLA game.

The same but Myles would have had the other arm broken in the UCLA game… record still 1-1

I think we have a 55 to 60 percent chance to have 1 loss prior to playing BAMA

0 percent chance of beating BAMA

We need to let the season play out

I am going with 8-4 at worst at this point.

THis is what Max isnt doing.

But maybe the staff is just too tentative, not Max. I do think Myles has the strengths that are needed to expand the field beyond the LoS.

OL is crap
Play calling is crap
Running gane is crap.

All of which was the case last year, and the offense was better with Myles than Max or TJ. UCLA would not have brought the house on 70% of snaps with Myles playing QB.
