Is there a chance he can get some bulldozing blocking at FB this year. He's always been my unmentioned hero every year. He deserves at least 1 pass per game. He hurts boys. It's a shame he's never actually found his place on the team.

Tory, was mainly utilized as the H-back some seasons back. Last season he came in a bit, but not as much as when he first got to campus years back. I think if we do employ some run-heavy sets to mix up the offensive styles a bit, he will surely be in at H-back. We have 2 elite TEs in Arik (ultra-elite) and Kole. I could see Tory getting the nod early on in the 2 TE sets just to give Kole more time to get acclimated to the SEC.

Some teams still use FBs in the NFL, so it would be nice to feature him there and run some plays that use a FB / H-back or 3 TEs. He's a cool dude and would be nice to see him make an NFL squad (the Saints actively look for guys who excel on special teams) and eventually those guys make the final roster and get utilized in multiple spots. Given his measurables, if we get in more depth at TE. He could make the switch over to linebacker, he is a headhunting bruiser on special teams and just one of those kids who likes to initiate contact and likes to hit. He's got good football instincts.

I say give him over to Pelini to learn things while the free-eligibility year goes along to cross-train him a bit. Just checked the official roster, since he has yet to redshirt if done properly he could redshirt next year (because I think we will really need him a bit this year) and then get one more season after that potentially. The LB corp could totally use the depth and experience.

I was rewatching the Okla game, and saw several nice plays by Tory. He caught a pass and added 4 tough YAC.

But, I REALLY liked a running play by Chris Curry. Tory was lined up as an H Back on the right. At the snap, he plowed the LB to open the hole. The camera follows Curry, who is dragging a few Sooners. Then, Tory comes flying in from behind and drives about six people forward for another five yards. The announcers thought enough to call his name. Tory Carter.

Tory, if you get a chance to read this, I hope you have a fun year, cuz that will mean I’m having more Good Times.

We'll need a TE that's able to block sufficiently and also pose a threat in the passing game to keep us on the good side of matchups. Moss is the perfect example. I don't know anything about Gilbert or Taylor blocking, so Carter/Storz/Moffit may need to play a role.

He had one in 2017 and one in 2018. Last year he had one called back for pushing off... I believe against State.

Torys main benefit is what he does to motivate his teammates. The guy is a fricking animal and that’s contagious. Is he a positional influence? No. What he is, is intangible.

Reminds me of the roughneck, blue collar players of the 80’s. Channels the Hazards pretty well.
