It is a loooong day so I planned on hitting up some bars before the tailgating. Definitely don't plan on venturing toward Bourbon St, and I would like to be around LSU crowds. Where will people be earlier in the day- Bayou Beer Garden? Bulldog on Magazine?

there isn't going to be a pregame crowd at either of those places. Probably just the places in the CBD and WHD

I'll probably start the day with some brunch, grab a cocktail at one of the CBD hotels' rooftop bars (NOPSI, Catahoula, or Troubadour), and then meander on over toward the tailgate scene around the dome as kickoff nears.

Although I really like that place, I avoid it like the plague on Saturdays during the fall.

Arrive late morning, staying at Sonesta, going to the West Bank for lunch with friends and then looking for afternoon options towards the Dome!!! Like you have I'm looking for input from the NOLA savy crowd.

BBG is one of my favorite places in the city, although it is a little ways from the CBD/Dome. If the weather is nice, it will be an ideal spot to catch some of the games throughout the day.

If you're looking for a similar vibe, but different part of town, the Tchoup Yard in the Irish Channel has a huge outdoor area that is great for game days.

Bulldog on Magazine is TINY. I wouldn't recommend watching football over there. The Bulldog Mid-City has so much more space, and as such, it is much more suited for game days.
