You’re right. It’s never been done in baseball where a team fails to live up to their talent/potential at any point in a season….

Rizy will get drafted high enough to leave on velo and measurables alone.

Yes. They are guys that, no doubt in my mind, end up first rounders. They each have another year on campus.

You never know with guys like Moore, Rizy, Sheerin, any of the freshman.

Then guys like Williams and Plog are sophomores who can be great. Plog specifically has tons of potential. No one saw Kade Anderson going top 5 in March of 2025.

Not saying all of those guys are surefire first rounders, but there's a ton of ++ potential arms on this team. To say this staff lacks talent is insane.

The thing that might actually limit some of these guys (Sheerin, Plog, Rizy) from being potential first rounders is the fact that we bring back Schmidt and Evans. There is going to be some serious talent on this pitching staff next year that doesn't get the innings scouts need to see.

I do wonder what he does after this season. He's a DES, but could likely improve his stock if he shows he can be a starter.

That is unless he starts pumping 102 like post-season Shores.
