I think probably top 10 but definitely not top 5. FWIW
1.Morris
2. Cresse (wasn't he like 1 for 15 or so before the hit) but that whole game was all drama
3. Walker vs Long Beach St
4. Wake 2023
5. 2023 Florida
6. Texas 2009
Maybe 7, higher or lower depends on the outcome this weekend

Another forgotten game that was unbelievable was the Super Regional comeback against UCIrvine when Jared Mitchell and Blake Dean were playing maybe it was 2007? Not at top 3 or 5 for me but it was an amazing game and comeback.
Top 10 game for sure. It makes the list because that game definitely paved the way for LSU to win the title the following season. We knew that game was a turning point for the team under Mainieri

My top three:
Morris walkoff HR
2023 vs Wake, Tres Morgan gave saving play
1993 vs Long Beach St, Todd Walker walkoff single

That game is the only game in LSU baseball history that has an argument against 1996 Miami.
I tend to agree with you. IMO, that game was the baseball equivalent of the 9-6 Alabama football game. You had probably the two top teams in the sport playing with the two top pitchers in the sport pitching. Like the football game, there was very little offensive action. For a neutral fan it was probably kind of a boring game...until the final few innings. Yet, as an invested fan, every pitch held immense tension because you felt one slip-up, or one big "miss" was all it was going to take to lose the game...and a shot at a championship. Both ultimately ended in walk-off fashion in "OT"
This game had far more swings of emotion. At various points both teams/fanbases felt good about their chances win, then quickly didn't. Then the losing team has to walk away, stunned, that they blew multiple chances to win.
Bad play at 1B that could have been out #2
Seemingly easy DP ball that the SS panicked on and opted to get the lead runner that didn't matter much in a 2 run game
LF misplays the final out. Then, inexplicably, the ball rockets off of him like he was made of metal.
DVH chooses to pitch to Jones.

It’s true. Many are sleeping on this squad merely because the standards are so high. Peterson basically said last night.
For example, no one would pick CC over Arky had they pulled it off, but watch how many pick CC to beat the team that took 4 of 5 from the hogs.
