Not true. NFL players can smoke all they want. Big Saadiq is in the nfl now smoking every single day.
So is Kelvin Joseph.
Soon dare will be too.
Tyler shelvin too.
Chase too.
Etc

A lot will change with the NFL's new collective bargaining agreement, including a new drug policy in which players will no longer be suspended for positive marijuana tests. The new CBA will reduce the testing period from four months to the two weeks at the start of training camp. A new threshold for a positive test will also be put in place, raising the allowed amount of THC from 35 nanograms to 150.
Nfl players have to be clean for a 2 week period and the tolerance level went up by a multiple of over 4. Compare that to LSU lmao.
Bama program probably mirrors the NFL one. They are more committed to winning.

“O leaves the program in better shape than he found it for sure.”
“Oline was trash. Had to be rebuilt.”
QB was as bad as it’s ever been.”
Lmfao plz tell me you’re trolling.

It is not even debatable. This team is ready to compete. don’t think you can compete for much of anything with what miles left us
Posted on 10/29/21 at 10:24 pm to Boomshockalocka
Lol O inherited the most draft picks in LSU history. But you’re right it’s not debatable, this team is in much worse shape than when O inherited it and is a sub .500 team since Miles’ last recruits left.

O inherited a team with no suitable QB and the best WR in Louisiana history committed to Florida. He flipped chase, signed Jefferson, and found a Qb. Won a title and gave us the beat season in school history. O leaves the program with a stacked roster.

You’re not only moving the goalpost you’re wrong. He inherited a QB who at the time had the 3rd highest single season passer rating in school history and who broke the school record for 40+ yard passing plays. Jefferson was a Miles recruit and so were a bunch of the 2019 draftees. And again Orgeron inherited a roster that had the most NFL Draft picks in LSU history.

there were no QB on the roster he inherited who had any chance to win in the SEC prior to the burrow transfer. Cupboard = empty.
And just bc 4 guys get drafted in the last round or whatever doesn’t make a hill of beans.

Again moving the goalpost and trying to argue facts with completely unsubstantiated biased opinion. Like I said you’re 100% wrong and you have no equally applicable standard to back your statements up.

Jefferson committed to O. Not miles. Quit lying bro.

That's nonsense. Etling was a serviceable QB. You're making it sound like he was absolutely terrible and that isn't true at all. Before you say he wasn't suitable, I'll remind you to take a look at Max. Not a shot at him but if you're going to say Etling wasn't suitable, what's Max? And if he's not suitable, why isn't he?

No one is debating that he isn't. What people are attempting to discuss with you is it better now than when he inherited the program from Miles.
You say it was, most in this thread say otherwise.
If you disagree, that's fine but saying he did and he did and he did over and over doesn't make it true.
He's leaving it in as good of shape as it was when he became the interim HC.

Ok?

Jefferson commit in 2017. O was name coach in 2016.
Final answer. No debate.

Max has to play because of bad luck. Injury to the best QB In back to back seasons.

I didn't ask why is he playing. I asked if you consider him a suitable QB. It's a yes or no question.
If you consider him a suitable QB, then Etling was a suitable one.

the year after Danny left, who was supposed to be the Qb the next year? Compare that to who is wanting in the wings now
Lol.
Lol.

Ok now I know you're trolling.
You really think Ed had a hand in that team's success? Aside from getting those players you mentioned.
In any event, you're now straying from your original topic so let's stay on that, ok?
Do you consider Max to be a serviceable QB? If yes, then Etling, who was the QB when O took over, was an even more serviceable QB. He wasn't the best that ever existed but he was suitable.
