From what I am seeing of CFB this year, it is weak outside of USC. With RP we probably would have marched down and met them in the title game, with both of us in our prime to decide the program of the decade.

Oh great seer of CFB, what should we have done to stop the USC onslaught? Only LSU plus RP could stop them? You thought that we might have QB problems - get the f outta here.
Bottomline - Auburn looks like shite offensively and we can take that game.

There were times last year when Flynn looked pretty rough, too.

hatch/lee? not so much

Everyone needs to calm down and trust that Hatch, Lee, and Jefferson are going to continually improve week after week!

from week 1 to week 2 (or 3, however you want to define it), they made no improvement. hatch looked worse for sure

Yep. This is what is scary. We have NO idea how good we are right now as a team. When I say team, I mean Hatch and Lee.

Where did I say that?

I have repeatedly said we would be fine. But fine does not mean superb. Are you arguing that this year, right now, Hatch and Lee has the same athletic upside of RP?

I didn't say we wouldn't.

It's never good going into your first HUGE SEC game and 3 qb's are being mentioned.

I'm not being pessimistic, I just think Hatch is bad.

True, but 2-0 none the less. My point has nothing to do with schedule strength in any way. Only that it is fortunate that we had the schedule we did to buy us some more time for our QBs to develop and get more experience before conference play.

well, from my view, sitting on my couch, realizing that I didn't have the talent to be where they are, I also realized I can be critical of them. Always heard, "those that can do, those that can't, complain", guess some on here prove that. Not being critical, but damn, give them a break, cause I am pretty sure we don't have any hall of fame QB's posting in here do we?

Do we only have one? And where did the other one in the trophy case come from?

I am thinking they may start using Jefferson like they used RP last year. 1 or 2 plays of option with him every series. 85% running and 15% fake option and simple pass routes.

Man, some on here are starting to sound like the ND fans we all love to hate. Like it is our birthright to be the most dominant football team in America yr in and yr out. You had to know that when RP got himself booted, that this had potential to be a rough year. But hey, we are 2-0 and I think we can compete in an ugly game against Auburn. If you thought we were going to be be a polished football team 2 weeks into this season, you need your head examined--or you don't know as much about football as you claim. I'm betting on the latter.

:raises hand:

Florida is the only team on LSU's schedule near the Tigers' caliber this season. We'll be fine.
