It’s not like we learned today that the freshman would have to play they have had three weeks knowing this. Hopefully they have evaluated and coaches up a couple of these freshman or Welch to be ready. They have been in the program with spring training and know games for half a year. They should be coming to speed?

When they are out of position and making mistakes, do you have confidence that our defense coaches can make adjustments and help them?

If they would have shown an ability to be better than who we had, they would have been playing more

Do Freshmen improve over the year?
Do Seniors improve? The Transfers came in expected to perform at a high level. It didn't happen.
The freshmen should have learned their assignments by this stage of the season.

If you really believe that our defense will be improved this week, you need to look at the coaching staff and start questioning them.
agreed.

If we see improvement this week, that's good of course - but it's also an indictment on our poor defensive coaching thus far this season.

If we had better players sitting on the bench, why was that? Can our coaches not figure out who should get playing time? Isn't that their job?

Now, I think it's a moot point because I don't think our D will improve at all this week and may even be worse (if that's possible).
