Statistics do not back up this claim.

When Harris paints his skin to white instead of black. The board will instantly stop dogging on him.

I don't excuse Harris's bad moments, but I will call out a delusional fan who dogs Harris but makes excuses for Danny Excuse for making many of the same mistakes and scoring less points in big games.

It's like you didn't even watch the games. Stats can always be sliced and diced to fit a narrative, but it was crystal clear to any rational fan that actually watched and paid attention that Eling was a much better fit in this offense.

Maybe Harris would be a better fit in another offensive scheme (I still think his accuracy issues would be a big problem), but Harris was clearly worse than Etling in this offense.

Harris was in another offensive scheme. The same offense that DE was running wasn't the same BH was running based off different coaches.

You saw what Etling did against the first SEC defense he played against with Miles and Cam in charge.

It was the Auburn game. Auburn didn't even score a TD and beat us.

Let's just gloss over that Auburn is a tough out at home, and Etling got targeted, and we were half a second away from teh game winning TD pass counting...

Nah, we just like his play because he's white.

I agree. the young man gave it his all. he doesn't deserve this dogging. in fact, he is still in the mix; one never knows what will happen.

It wasn't tough last year in a blowout win for Harris

You should try telling the truth.. We were 7-0 not 8-0 and harris wasn't the second highest rated qb in the country at any time in his career. Nobody's dogging harris Etling is just much better nobody was accused of dogging Hilliard when he lost the starting job to fournette.

Why can't you Harris fans realize he is friggin' done at LSU.

He is finished here. Take it up with Coach O and Ensminger. They see the practices and know that things have improved dramaticly since he was benched.

My question is why can't you support Entling as he has the support of the coaches. Why the obsession with Harris? WTF?

Because there is a portion of LSU fans that dunno much about football so they blame everything on the qb and will always be in love with the backup. It's been this way since the 80s ppl thought Mickey Guidry was better than tommy hodson.

I saw it and Etling had 19 completions in 30 attempts for 215 yards and one touchdown. Not too bad for a guy that was starting his first game in well over a year.

Wrong friend. Check out the schedule. We played Mississippi State a week before we played Auburn.

It's hard to understand how some people will get on here and say anything they can to try to prove their point without actually knowing, or caring, if the information they are going to use is accurate or not.

It seems to me that the few passes he threw before getting benched for good were so unbelievably inaccurate , that it may have just been footwork or even a mental issue.he just got worse and worse with each pass he threw in those last two games that he started .. he just got scared to throw a pick and get
Benched and that was too much pressure on him. It's hard to play well when you are looking over ur own shoulder after each pass that may not have been perfect . My point is , he's got more upside and is younger then ettling is . His arm talent is elite . Ettlings arm I isn't bad but not even close to Harris's though . Maybe we can get a good qb coach and oc that are good at working with qbs and he can get Harris back to being confident and more accurate and just have an open competition for starter , starting with spring practice . Lane kiffen would be a good hire for that ..he's done great with those average talented qbs every year.he could do that for us too I hope. I like ettling a lot , so we would be ok with him all next year too I think ..I just like the competition for qb though , I'd like to see the young guys get a chance to win the job too . A competition will bring out the best in all of them

I agree his arm is stronger but that's about it. Etling is more accurate more comfortable in the pocket and better going through his progressions he's also tougher and his teammates love him for it. Etling is a natural leader and has all the tools needed to be a good QB. I was pulling for Harris but he never improved he was better than Jennings which isn't saying much but once Etling took the field there was no question who was the better player. As far as their age they're both juniors so though Etling maybe a little older they have the same amount of time left to play and nobody on our upcoming roster will take his job. If we hire a good OC and I think we will Etling will have a very good SR. Season then my guess would be Colt Brennan takes the job after.

Harris was in the wrong scheme and could not fix his accuracy problems. I don't know if it was coaching or him but on every pass he never looked comfortable. I have no doubt in my mind Miles and Cameron kept telling him not to make a mistake which made him extremely gun shy and play with zero confidence.
