I was living in Florida at the time. Flew back home to see Fl/LSU '04. Chris Leak had a rough day that day. Sat way up in the high west wing. Even up there it was loud. We sacked Leak 7 times that day!
I keep all the ticket stubs!

In utero some time in 1962. My parents and several of their friends bought tickets in the "new" South endzone when it was built, and they would give the baby sitter two tickets and pay them to watch us. So you could say, I was born and raised in the greatest place on earth, Tiger Stadium. The first game I really remember was the 1968 Notre Dame Game or The Bert Jones-Old Miss game in 1971.

1976, Vanderbilt. We win, 33-20 (had to look it up).
I still remember being in awe of the crowd and the stadium. I was 10.

Attended my first game in Tiger Stadium on November 19, 1949, LSU vs. Southeastern.
LSU 48 Southeastern Louisiana College 7.
My dad was attending Southeastern on the GI Bill, but had always been a Tiger fan, having attended LSU briefly in the mid 1930s. The whole family (mom, dad, me, sis and baby brother) drove over from Hammond in our Studebaker for the afternoon game.
The Tigers had no trouble handling the outmanned Lions, but Coach Gaynell Tinsley wasn’t satisfied with the team’s first half efforts, so he took the starters out of the game at half-time and sent them to the practice field south of the horseshoe shaped Tiger Stadium and ran them through some hard contact drills while the second string played the second half against the Lions.

That was 1949, a few weeks before my first game in Tiger Stadium. The game against UNC was the famous wet field game where the playing field had "accidently" gotten soak just before the game. Choo Choo could never get started on the wet field and the Tigers won. UNC won their conference that year - it was one of three conference champions LSU defeated that season.

One of my first memories of a game in TS was the Earthquake game in 1988. I was 9 y/o. I think one of my first games was vs T A&M a couple years earlier. Those 2 stand out to me.
