He could win 50 NC's and the Sabanistas would never give him credit.

When Les breaks the LSU all-time win record AND wins another NC... by Me4Heisman

Name one season that Miles has had that was better than 03.

I would put 2011 as slightly better than '03.

Although in 2003, LSU beat five 5 Top 15 teams: Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Georgia twice, and Oklahoma. We had the best defense in the NCAA.
But, we lost to an unranked team at home.

In 2011, we outscored a schedule that included 8 bowl teams by a margin of 500-123. First unbeaten regular season since 1958.

all true but I believe the back end of that 03 season worked out slightly better than 11.
I was at that 03 game against UF and we simply came out flat and I believe it was Chris Leek that ripped us a new one. We just had one of those days. We never played even close to that bad the rest of the season.

Yep, I agree with that....

Not saying we DEFINITELY would have beaten Okie State, but had they been the opponent (which they should have according to the BCS criteria) 2011 may well have been in the top 3 seasons all-time for ANY college team...

2005 > 2011 > 2003 > 2010 > 2007 > 2001 when comparing coaches.

I will never understand how Miles got 11 wins out of the worst QB play I (had) ever seen.

Do you think that CLM will sniff 4 MNCs? Because that is where Little Nicky is at right now. Most people tend to agree that 4 is better than 1 or 2. Even Gumps and pre-schoolers know that.

I didn't know Saban had four national championships at LSU.

Its at LSU, its at LSU, its at LSU!!

You know, that place Saban, the God of football coaches at LSU, couldn't manage to have even one back to back ten win seasons.

Les has torn down every record Saban set at LSU and replaced with is own. Any saying otherwise are delusional.

what Saban has done at bama is irrelevant to this conversation.

Les is the most successful coach in LSU history. That makes him the best coach.. Saban did a great job of setting the foundation while at LSU. It amazes me that anyone would name Saban while losing 3 games a season and did this during a time when the SEC East was the dominate side.

Please keep this in mind. The SEC West was worse than the SEC East while Saban was coach at LSU.

Do i have to use this analogy again? Your argument is the same as LSU hiring a coach and that coach never wins a game at lsu and gets fired and then wins a bunch of national titles at that school. Is that coach the best coach in lsu history? Hell no he isnt.

Youre wrong. We lost too an 8-5 Florida team in Baton Rouge.

Hell saban won the sec west with a three loss team.

The SEC west was as bad or worse than the SEC east is today. There is no way to no that Nick would have not had the same 2 to 3 loss seasons had he stayed at LSU.

In the early 2000's the sec was not close to being as tough as it is today. Florida was bad with Zook. Bama was having one of their worst stretches.
In 2001 every sec west team had 3 or more losses.
In 2002 every team in the sec east, except UF, had 5 losses or more.
In 2004 all but two teams had 3 losses or more. In 2004 8 sec teams had 5 or more losses.

Possible for Les to break.

wins another NC

Not happening ever again. 9-10 wins a year and the peach bowl is his ceiling.

Les is not NC caliber.

If Saban is a better coach than Miles and coached at LSU, doesn't that mean Miles couldn't be the all time best LSU coach?

Why did lsu beat Alabama in the game of the century that year?

Reply:

Because nick prepared for Lee at QB , and when Jefferson came in a lot of his scheming had to be adjusted to a Running QB, one big reason why we won that game .. and another Big reason we won was the defense wasn't completely wore out on LSU offense going 1-2-3 kick , like the NC game ....
