I wonder how a few of u snow flakes would do with LSU offense line. Danny is doing the best he can.
I don't think anyone is questioning his character or heart. The guy plays hard and when he's struggling with his arm like against UF, he fights for every yard on the ground.

Lol, the only Qbs worse are Tennessee's Qb and Franks and he is actually more talented than Etling
Danny is 5th in QB rating, 6th in passing yards, 4th in yards per attempt, and leads all starters with fewest interceptions at 1.

it was a designed swing pass to Guice all the way, not a check down.

Grimes must GO! That is where we should start to fix our O Line problems!

FWIW, vs. conference opponents, Etling is 10th in passer rating. He's faced the #4, #7, and #11 ranked passer rating defenses in Auburn, UF, and Mississippi State, and the #1, #5, #9, #10, and #12 defenses remain in Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M.

QBr also said Lee was the best QB in the sec in 2011 which definitely wasn’t true and the reason he is #1 is because of lack of ints because he holds the ball too long. I’d rather a few more ints with more big plays
The only reason he’s that high in yardage is because hurts and Fromm barely play in the 4th quarter and Mond and Allen have missed games
Yards per attempt doesn’t mean shite except you throw a bunch of deep passes

He should be on his 3rd read in under 3 seconds every time. And that is being very, very generous.
This thread is comical. I'd wager that outside of a broken play, no college QB is making 3 reads. You make the primary read based on the play call and pre-snap look from the defense. The ball goes to that guy 90% of the time. You have to know where the rest of your guys are, but you're not going through any real progressions at this level, hence the reason open guys are missed all the time.
Etling's "problem" is that he'd rather force it to the primary guy than take the checkdown at times. The good news is he usually errs on the side of caution when he forces the ball where our guy is the only one with a shot, but drives can be sustained picking up 5-6 yards from the RBs too.

Not true. YPA is a nice measure of the efficiency of your passing game. Yards per completion is the stat where long passes will stick out.

Add up Hurts and Tagovailoa, and Mond, Hubenak and Starkel and they still dont have as many yards as Etling/Brennan.

There are a couple of complaints against Etling that are legit. But that is true for every college QB. Etling has a fraction of the running game that we have had in the past, and he is keeping us in the games we need.

Consistency in both recognizing it as available/open and, depending on the pass rush, making it his 'hot route' instead of check down (move it up in the order of progressions). That requires some pre-snap reads.

lol at all the people that says DE is a good qb. All i hear is how tuff he is. So is leather. This guy is horrible.. the weakest arm ive seen in a long time. If he thorws a strong pass the first deep ball to Chark its an easy td. His career as a qb is over as soon as the last tic in the bowl game. Cant see how he is defended by you guys. Id take Franks 10 out of 10.

He probably wasn't used to all the time he was starting to get behind the line.
On that note, McGee played really well.

If you think Etling is better then Hurts, Tua,Fromm,Mond, Johnson then you are delusional
