I don't understand the love for it. It was never something LSU played. And most of you don't even know the lyrics or who sings it. Just bitch about the lyrics some drunk college kids made up, just like y'all did for other songs that got banned.

Give the group Cameo credit as the originators of the song in 1984.
LINK

Dem Franchize Boyz came out with their own version of the song in 2008.

LSU’s band played the song in 2004.

That is earliest I know of to date. Maybe someone from the band may know more.

Geaux Tigers and to all of LSU’s opponents:
STTDB!

Then in 2007 we played the Gamecocks

So “you suck cock” happened

It was a bit more clever than that, as I remember:

“You suck... cocks”

Which could be the rude but PG “you suck, Cocks” or what we really meant which was “you suck cocks!”

2007 was a hell of a time to be an LSU undergrad...

But when we showed up next week and people were still saying it with the loss of plausible deniability that the name of the opponent gave us, I knew we were on borrowed time.

This is, in fact, why we can’t have nice things.

Eta: we also chanted “frick you, Spurrier” which made it on national television. So there was that, as well...

Maybe the student section start the Haka tradition. The band can provide percussions for the chant.

Whenever it was, it was after 2007. My people didn't say that nasty shite. We were just happy to get the whole stadium in on the hand gesture.

This.
The stadium was rocking when everyone started doing the hand gesture thing

2009 TD on history of LSU Neck
STTDB is not mentioned at all.

I remember hearing it sporadically in 2006 as filler and then the 07 Arkansas game was the game when Neck really took off imo. The student section did the OOOOoooooooo but I don't remember knowing any words at all. I think it evolved into a song played a ton during the 08 season with "Talkin out the side of your neck" being sung too.

I think the big issue in 08, as someone posted about was the "OweO" chants adding "cocks" to "you suck." When Morehouse and LSU banned that, the students would chant it and started getting played over by the band and/or PAs. I didn't help that the "frick you Spurrier" and "frick you Tebow" chants got on national television. So they banned "OweO" for at least a year.

In the place of OweO after touchdowns, Neck got played a lot more...and unsurprisingly "Bitch" was added...that was threatened with banning and may have even been banned for a game, but the old people loved it and the whole stadium was doing it.

SIDENOTE:
Get off your high horse there old people:
Here's the entire LSU crowd chanting "Assholes" during Tiger Rag in 2003
Tiger Rag was banned for probably 7-8 years. The band did not play it one time while I was in college: 06-11. Band brought it back 2-3 years ago. 2013 Tiger Rag

Suck that Tiger dick started to become more prevalent in 2010.
2009 Neck v Florida w/ "Bitch"
2010 Neck with STTDB

TLDR: STTDB started quietly in 09 (probably...I remember hearing bits and pieces), but really caught on in 10.

It was started by a frat guy after a Saturday night game in Baton Rouge. After LSU won, him and his boys when back to the frat house. After way too many trash can punch drinks, he took a freshman sorority pledge back to his room and pulled his pants down. The next few words out of his mouth will live forever!

Yeah that sounds like a made up story that your high school buddy, Billy Bob Boudreaux, said around the campfire at your hunting camp.
