Gilbert was also a 5 star record breaking freak playing against the best competition coming out of high school. He and RS were the 2 best QB's in texas. We got the dual threat, they got the pure passer.

if you would have stopped right there you would have made yourself look like a genius....

I figured the crowton staying part would raise some blood pressure and i get pure joy in seeing the responses, and barring injury jefferson will be the starter next season so i have a want to convince myself hes good enough.

uhh, Mauck was physically talented. it wasn't like we were throwing Sparacino out there. and his "it" was very much a work in progress.

uhhh no he didn't. he played terribly in the 1st UGA game, the UF game, the Ole Miss game, and the OU game.

he was very mediocre and was helped by one of the best d's of the decade and a solid running game. Of course, many will still claim he was better than Russell.

LSU fans saying mauck was a great QB is like hearing bama fans proclaim that Mcelroy is a great QB

exactly. the guy was just OK. There's a reason he was picked in like the 7th round and never hooked up for long. But you know, he was so heady and great...

I love all our QBs, even when Randall drove me nuts. I just wish our fans would recognize that it takes time - sometimes a few yrs - to get em to where we'd like em.

that said, do we have any 5 star Lebron Clausen types that we're recruiting? I want me a sure thing that's just gonna wow me with his arm strength and moxie around this piece.

how the frick does any of that make either of us Miles lovers? I don't think either of us support Miles as HC. Me thinks you're not smart enough to hit back with an actual argument for your stance so you start throwing out wild accusations.
