When does campus close on game days?

Like the title says, what time does the campus close to traffic on game days? Specifically on 7:00 pm kickoffs. This will be for the 18th specifically, so not an SEC game.

I'm not aware of it closing traffic. It would probably be a major PITA to try and drive through when people are heading to the stadium. Contraflow is supposed to begin immediately after the game is over.

I don’t think the traffic is closed on game days with the exception of Stadium drive and parts of Highland (like the parts right there at campus).
With that being said, plan on traffic to be a pain, even with it not being a conference game.
If you can get there by 11:00, noon at the latest, you should be okay. Get there and get parked. The longer you wait, the more of a hassle the traffic becomes.

They start putting the blockades up around noon. Starting on the smaller streets and working their way to River Rd.

Is that the rule? Was wondering about this today. If I drop off my teenage son and his friends, will I be able to get back to them to pick them up?

Park in the LSU housing lots before the game is over, probably at the start of the 4th quarter. You will not be able to get onto campus as people are trying to leave it. Plus you will have thousands of people walking across the roads.
