I think Skip arrived in 84. I remember Skip saying, after arriving, there was one player he wished he would have had more time to work with, Clay Parker.
Clay was also the punter for the Football team.

I’d say prolly around 1993. I was 8.

LSU Baseball actually started for me before football because I vividly remember watching all the National Championships with my family and those being some core memories.

Same with me. I know I was listening to that regional on the radio, so I was already invested, but I can’t really remember when, except that I know Skip was the reason.

I was at LSU from 90-95. A pretty good time. I always loved baseball but LSU baseball was something different. Better than every other baseball. I still feel that way. The history. The players. The stats. The fanbase. Love it all. Still haven’t been to Omaha but hoping to retire soon and then go every year.

I dated a girl in mid 1980’s that their family always watched the cws on espn. Went to a few games in 1986 or so. I remember the grand slam against Ben McDonald in ‘88? And beating the aggies in 1989 to advance.

I saw LSU play Rice in State Fair Stadium in Shreveport in 1975. I have been hooked ever since.

Yep, my Dad started raving about the baseball team during the Ben McDonald years and that regional beating Aggy twice. That was when I started following LSU baseball closely...

LSU football sucked when I was a kid in the 90’s so LSU baseball was my “first love” starting in 1992 when I was 10.
