Nevermind the fact that TAF fees have pushed out generations of die hards in favor of corporate assholes.

The wave. It's disrespectful to the players, plus it's dumb.

I never understood the hate that some people have for the wave. I don't really care either way about it. But If I thought it were disrespectful maybe I would hate it too. Please explain how it's disrespectful to the players. TIA

What did I do? I am just pointing out what I perceive to be a sad truth. I come early and leave late from the game and have been doing so for years. I rarely if ever go tailgating. It has been my observation through the years that tailgating now trumps the game itself. One of the earlier posters mentioned that the common fan has been priced out. I agree with that. Billy-Bob coon-arse who wants to come and yell and holler for the Tigahs has been replaced with rich assholes who are there to see and be seen.

There's the same ratio of billy-bob coon-arse to rich assholes there to see and be seen, as there's always been.

Leaving early. I remember for the West Virginia game, which was still in doubt, the stadium being half empty in the third quarter and the television announcer wondering what the frick was going on. He said something like "this is Tiger Stadium" in an incredulous tone. I guess he hadn't got the memo that our fans can't be bothered by the actual fotball game anymore. I laugh when people refer to us as a rabid fan base, we need to start taking those tickets from these people and give them to somebody that wants to watch the team play football.

It says "hey, we're bored with the product you're showing on the field so we're going to do something to entertain ourselves."

This just rubbed me wrong:

"Act like classy citizens and you will get the respect you deserve...."

They are kids. Pack mentality. They are the loudness and passion of TS.

this. and the fact that the students got 'Tiger Rag' banned from being played as well...
Here is the thing, the 30 year olds blaming the students for STTDB are the same people who were the students that got tiger rag banned. And the people in the 40s blaming the students who got tiger rag banned, are the students who were such arse clowns in the late 80's early 90's, that they made the greek system go to hell. And so on.... So anyone who was once an lsu student, will get blamed by the older generation for something

I mean it rains in there all the time

Yes, but at one time it went 30 years or so w/o raining in TS for a home game. That's where this comes from.

This. People don't understand that the difference between the speed of light and the speed of sound won't permit this to be done properly. It requires a sense or rhythm or anticipation, and all those white folks ain't got it.
