again dandy, you make a statement and when asked to back it up you just start to ramble... and every time you cant back up one of your stupid statemens you come back with the '09 rankings statement... you don't know how to hold an adult conversation do you?? i guess next you're going to resort to the old "i know you are, but what am i" retort.... nite nite dandy, time for mommy to tuck you in bed and tell you a nite time story...

All right one thing is a fifth year QB can learn a play book faster than a first year QB. Wouldnt you be scared as hell to give a young QB a huge playbook.Im just sayin JJ is not ready to take on a playbook like that. I might not be a coach but thats how I see it. Its kinda like givin someone a gun. Would you rather an adult or a child with it.

------------

Probably so... but what the hell does that have to do with Crowton, version 2008?

Tell me exactly what GC took out of his playbook for first year player J Lee. Let's not even get into the fact that he brought in Andrew Hatch and felt that he could play QB in the SEC when he can't start for Harvard. Crowton tried to run the same packages and plays he ran with Matt and Ryan with Lee in '08 and surprise, Lee could not do it. Whoooda guessed huh!! At least not without a barrage of pick sixes. He adjusted nothing for the players he had on hand and never took a lick of responsibility for the situations he put the youngsters in. Way to man up Wiz! The only bit of wizardry he showed last year was in managing get an extension while coaching up the 112th offense in the land - out of 120. That's truly magic and it's the only reason he's still here. The good part if that unless he gets his head out of his arse and figures out how to break the top 50 on O with top twenty talent he won't be here next year.

And if he's released who wants to bet he gets a job at another big major conference school? You can only screw the pooch so many times. Ask Peveto and Mallory how it works. Bradley Dale might be looking for an OC though... might help him win a game.

Add Stud and McCarthy to the mix and pretty soon we'll have a whole staff of former highly qualified Les Miles hires coaching the Northwesterns and New Mexicos of the CFB world. Unfortunately for LSU that's not who we compete against.

So guess who's bald head is atop my major worry for the season. JJ and JL should help though. They should be better. No help from GC but God teaches babies to walk and talk with time.

Line...on both sides of the football. If we are successful in the trenches, we will have a great season.

The thought of our trench play the last 2 years is certainly enough to make someone pass out.

What would you have LSU do? Revamp the offense Jarrott had been working under for over a year?

So, we bring in a QB before his time and tell him that not only is he going to have to play a lot more and a lot sooner than anyone thought, but he would have to learn a new package while he does it?

Possible perhaps, but far from ideal.

When we kicked RP off the team, we were screwed unless someone was a able to step up and play over their head, They didn't.

It's a new season and we have 2 QB's who have been in the program long enough to step up and make plays. I'm eager to see them and the rest of the team answer the call and that's all that matters now.

maybe not totally revanp it, but adapt it to what the QB in the game can do effectively...
