We are 5-5 in Gainesville since 2000 and 4-6 vs Bama in Tiger Stadium since 2000.

And, yet, the SEC tries to deny there is any favoritism towards the Alabama based teams.

All scheduling decisions made by Alabama and Auburn.

That Texas game week 2 is going to be a tougher early test than that game on the road this past season, with their QB coming back for his senior year.

Texas could be trouble as well and throw in @ Auburn and @ aTm as potential trouble games to end the season on. The Aggies have 19 returning starters including Mond. Still hoping for a 12-0 regular season and the explosion of the Myles Brennan passing machine.

How does this help Alabama based teams?

The move was because Auburn was tired of playing Bama and UGA to finish out the season.

They requested the change and got it. Now, LSU plays Auburn in late November, when historically they've played them in October or as early as September.

Moving the Auburn game helps us this year....gives Brennan more time to develop.

Auburn loses their entire OL and DL. Nix will have to make a huge leap under new OC Chad Morris for them to overcome those departures in the trenches.

Maybe, maybe not. If the last few years have shown anything, it's that the Gus Bus doesn't really start rolling until late in the year.

This will be the first time LSU and Auburn play each other in November since 1942, outside of the 2001 when they played in December because of 9/11.

It's not that the schedule change is necessarily an advantage given to Auburn by the SEC, it's that it's more evidence to show that the Conference caters to the whims of the Alabama teams when it comes to scheduling (see permanent cross-division rival).

So, in this case, it's almost double favoritism to Auburn. They want to play UGA annually, so that's their permanent East opponent...and now they complain that the end of their seasons are rough because of UGA and Bama so they get the game moved.

Please stop with the poor ole LSU / meanie Alabama narrative. We just went 15-0 and stomped a mud hole in damn near everyone we played along with the media deep throating us all year. There is no conspiracy.
