My buddy is dating a Bama girl right now and we were talking about this dude the other day. She said it isn't a big deal, and now his life is ruined for it.
My response?
"Oh, so you wouldn't mind if I took my balls out and put them on your face right now? And you definitely wouldn't mind if I video taped it and spread it on the internet for the whole world to see? That wouldn't be a big deal, right?"

It was a big deal and the criminal is paying the price for his criminal activity. If he has any kind of internal fortitude then his life isn't ruined and he can still recover.
