Besides Clearwater tourney there’s not much on the ooc weekend schedule.
I highlighted since you obviously don't read so good, "superfan". I skipped over the Tiger Classic apparently.
Look bud, if you want white-knight Beth that is your business. I don't hate her but I was just stating the obvious. The squad has gotten stale and evidence with consistency in recruiting and OTF results so, we will see how it shakes out. The results are the results, end of season and story.
I agree that there are some games on the schedule that will be tests. Hopefully they don't fade away at the end like they have been. Enjoy the season, #1 fan. I'll be looking for you on TV sitting next to Sanchez.

Maybe won't express a reply as vehemently as First Cut but it does look bad when statements that make little sense are made to support your views like "lackluster recruiting" when they've secured in recent years some of the best players in the country. The 2023 class was one of the top 3 in the country and the 2024 class is probably even stronger from a talent perspective. 2025 wasn't quite as stellar and not sure why. That statement really discredited the remainder of your post.
Objectively speaking there could be some validity to your other points but that will play out this season. I'm clearly not on the naysayer side as much as you but I try to be objective, but also stick to the real facts. I'm hoping Coach Torina has a great year and optimistically watching the ladies play this year. But then again, I optimistically watch every LSU sports team :-). I probably haven't earned the moniker of "superfan" because I tend to remain objective (superfans are more resilient), but I am an LSU fan.
Clearwater will be a great data point early in the season, although not a dispositive one (note TX's dismal showing last year but ends up in WCWS Final).

This team lost only Clark and Kilponen from last year.
If Beth doesn’t create magic w this veteran team this year, she will be in a world of hurt.
We lose 8 players after this year, Pleasants, Briggs, Guiterrez, Coffey, Petty, Carson, Lynch, Newman—almost our entire defensive lineup.
Louisiana kids have rarely produced at high levels. Especially when they come from lower classifications like Bergeron did.
Torina’s classes are always highly ranked by recruiting gurus, but dont always seem to perform at that kevel.

I believe San Fran is pointing out a huge part of Bergeron's reputation was built almost exclusively on her escapades in Louisiana High School ball. In summer travel competition she didn't perform ANYWHERE NEAR the level she did in LA High School ball (played for Bombers org last). The kid does have the tools, they just haven't translated at the highest levels yet. I for one hope they do, but was skeptical even before she stepped in the door because of the disparity in her numbers from High School to travel ball.

Her demeaner shows a lack of energy
Here we go with the demeanor again. How did Tom Landry ever win a Super Bowl? Or Andy Reid? Or dozens of other HOF coaches/managers over the years? Demeanor has absolutely nothing to do with winning or losing.

That’s on coaches.
