Auburn game in '07. Why go for the field goal when you can throw a hail-mary to Byrd in the endzone?

I still compare all deafening events in TS to the Earthquake game, 1988, Hodson's pass to Fuller. It was so freaking loud!

THIS!

I was about 30 rows up behind the endzone where Fuller caught the TD. LOUD as frick!!

2003 vs Georgia when Skyler catches the go ahead TD over the shoulder was probably the loudest day moment.

This...was in the student section

and UF '07

Of games that I have seen in person:

(1) The opening note of pregame before the 1982 LSU-Florida State game. Then, Mike broke a fake 'Seminole' mascot's arrow over his knee :)
(1) TIE Fuller's Earthquake game TD catch vs Auburn - 1988.
(2) Early TD run by LSU in 2005 home opener on Monday night vs Tennessee.
(3) LaBrandon Toefield's 70 yard stiff-arm run vs Tennessee in '00; and last play in OT in NEZ.
(4) Blocked FG at end of regulation in 2008 Bama game.
(5) Michael Brooks INT return for TD vs A&M in 1986.
(6) Risher's 30 yard slant TD pass to Eric Martin on the last play of the first half in '82 Florida State game.

What WOULD have been the loudest ever:
If LSU holds on to one of the back of the NEZ passes at the end of the '79 USC game....

From start to finish, the 2003 UGA game was by far the loudest game I've ever attended in TS. And what is amazing about it was it was a day game. But just constant. I've never had that type of student section experience since and I've been sitting in that section for far too long. haha

I think the QUIETEST single moment was back in '07 when we were ranked #1 and lost in triple overtime to the Hogs. It was as if we had all witnessed a killing and didn't know what to say.

was my second game in Tiger Stadium. went from insanely loud on the time out waiting for 4th and 10, to silence when we lost the game.... might as well have been sleeping.

1997 FLA - when Cedric Donaldson took that INT to da house ... Stadium was so buck my heart felt like it skipped a few beats. That moment sticks out above many.

LSU-UGA 2003, in the middle of the student section, I think I lost 25% hearing in my right ear that night.

Student section circa 2003 was a crazier time than today's student section. I don't know what it is exactly. Maybe the fact that we hadn't truly won "big" yet. Or maybe the students are not quite as confrontational and overboard.

UF '07 is the first one that comes to mind. I think it was measured at 127.2 decibels, the loudest ever recorded in a college football stadium

When LSU beat the number #1 ranked Florida Gators in Tiger Stadium. It was the play when Herb Tyler dives into the end zone while Tommy Banks hold his block. It was the first game I ever took my son to when he was alittle boy. Stephen was seven years old and the crowd scared him at first.

Nice. I got to be on the field for pregame for the 07 Florida game and it was sick.

I was a freshman in 07, so I got to witness some of the best games in recent history from the student section and I would say my top 5 loudest moments would have to be

5. Florida 09 - Florida's entire first drive. Remember a couple weeks before, Tebow suffered a concussion and supposedly too much "noise" would affect his condition

4. Auburn 07 - Flynn to Byrd with :01 remaining

3. Arky 07 - 4th down in OT before Hillis got that first down

2. Bama 08 - RJF blocked FG as time expired

1. Florida 07 - When the USC-Stanford score was announced

Looking forward to some more of these moments in years to come
