LSU had no idea who would play QB in the fall.

I mean technically yes, but LSU had Nuss on the roster and he was set to start until JD arrived. As we've been over, he sat the bowl game to keep his redshirt. One of many such players that sat for one reason or another. The "38 players" was available for the game, again, not how many players were in the program.

And again I say, LSU's roster for the bowl this year will nearly be as bad as the 2021 Texas bowl roster. If Nuss didn't get a bag and come back, we'd be playing Hurley and Swann.

Goldfish memories, this board

You’re right. Big Game Brian is the shite. He will lead LSU to many nattys and no more terrible seasons for the next 6 years! Am I doing this right?

No need to build strawman arguments, there is a middle ground.

Orgeron recruit.

You see where you’re wrong? Nuss Opted Out that bowl game after Orgeron left and Kelly had to rerecrut him and a shitload if others that were left from that 38 player shite show O burned down this fricker with - as I predicted would happen on 11/26/2016 when that ogre was hired. This is a NEW WORLD since 2021 with the transfer portal and now NIL changes throughout the country. You dumbasses have so much bias about NIL it is pathetic. Look at the number of states that had to change their laws just 2 years ago INCLUDING LOUISIANA. fricking idiots..

Oh, I’m no O boy. After 2019, he was dogshit. I wasn’t a BK fan with the terrible arse&M Jimbo like hire and payout. I saw what BK did at ND and Cincy. Hated the hire then, and still do now. And I’m not wrong. But you can rope in whatever group you want. If you give me reasons to say BK is the answer, then I’ll listen. I’ll be waiting a long time

Have the last 3 seasons of LSU football looked like a team that consistently plays hard and physical to you?

Football, as a whole, has gotten soft. This team doesn't look that much different than some of the late Miles and Orgeron teams.

Main reason I said this board has goldfish memories. But, give BK a mic and a flashy quote, and he’s the greatest. I love watching shite teams that we are better than in the CFP….and who we should have beat. Buck starts and stops with the HC and his game plan.

When BK took over, we were 2 years since our last Natty

Now we’re 5 years since our last Natty

Nobody with a functioning brain and two eyes was looking forward to RS Frosh Nuss starting in 2022.

Orgeron gutted the team and burned the remnants to the ground.

Ifs and buts. Nuss is coming back. LSU doesn't have to start Hurley or Swann.
Gosh, LSU has triple the number of QBs now than when Orgeron got fired.

We didn't play anyone in the CFP.

Matt Campbell. Wanted to push hard for him. Don’t care about what he’s done this year, which isn’t bad, but wanted him from the jump. Sure in the frick not BK. LSU didn’t have many options on the table worth a shite minus Campbell, but frick, you offer that much money to BK, you could have pulled anyone. A lot of the blame goes to Scott “blow my wad in one shot” Woodward. Again though, this board loves to say, “who would you have hired?” “We didn’t have a choice.” “Give him 3 more years and time in the portal.” At 100 mil, you could buy a fricking coach with a winning record away from a school, but frick paying that shite. We are stuck with him.

No shite. I’m talking SEC in general. We are better than both Tenn and Texas.

You're the one who said "and who we should've beat."

Of the "players" in the program that sat out the bowl for whatever reason, how many were on the 2022 LSU football roster, excepting Nuss and Baskerville, of course?

Of the "39 scholarship players" available for the bowl, how many were not on the 2022 LSU football roster?

I'll give you a hint, 35 new players were brought into the program for 2022 and the scholarship roster was still in the lower to mid 70s in number. Your boy cratered the program and was rightfully run out of town on a rail in disgrace.

39 + 2 - 2 + 35 = 74

At that time, he had proved he could take a shite team (Toledo), in a shite conference to consecutive winning seasons. Then accepts the Iowa State job after that dumpster fire, and turns that program around also. Deserved a shot. And hell, this year, I thought Iowa State would make the CFP.

ETA: tell me, besides being a LSU fan and supporting the team, which I do minus him, why BK is a great coach and deserves fan respect?

LSU has a returning QB and the bulk of its offense

Salviati - good post of which most I agree. However, I don't think it's accurate to say now that we have the bulk of offense returning. We're gonna have to replace 4/5 OL, Taylor, Lacy, Daniels, and Williams.

A bowl game is one metric. But it doesn't tell the whole story. The difference in incoming classes is huge.

Fair enough.

Because he's done all of the same things you like about Campbell, he's rebuilt and won at multiple programs.
