What’s the best time/place to get a pic with Mike the Tiger for my 3 y/o?

Forgive me if the wrong board but I’m taking my daughter to her first game this weekend vs Southeastern. She’s obsessed with mascot Mike and it’ll make her day.
What’s the best chance I’ll have at getting her a picture with Mike? Before the stadium opens up? Maybe during warm ups or after kickoff during the game? I’ve been to a lot of games in my day but this part is something I’ve never paid much attention to.

Keep an eye out on social media for the times of interest from LSU. Go where the band lines up to march down the hill, about 20 minutes prior. I’ve had success almost every time when my kids were younger and wanted to get pics. It’s roughly 2 hours before kickoff.

I figured the hill would be a good place but I didn’t know if they were pretty strict about it due to staying on timing but I’m sure if we get there early we may be okay. We’ll definitely give it a shot.

It’s awesome you are taking your daughter for the game. If you live around Baton Rouge I have found that midday usually works to see Mike up and around. Just a thought.

I think he meant he costumed Mike rather than the real tiger.

I think your best chance is at the Greek Theater when the band forms up to march to the stadium. Does Mike still lead the band to the stadium? At one time the mascot was a member of the band program, but I am aware that there are now multiple humans who costume as Mike during events under the athletic department.
DO NOT expect to get close to Mike as he goes down the hill to the stadium. Time constraints, barricades and too much of a crowd. At the Greek Theater if Mike should for some reason not be there, you can ask Golden Girls to take a snapshot with her. Or Kent the sousaphone grandpa.
Inside the stadium, if you are on the lower bowl sidelines you may be able to get down to the cheerleaders when Mike is near and get an audience with him.

He's usually in the LSU / TAF tailgate area in front of Matherne's in the afternoon.
