Shepard showed signs of explosiveness early in the season, but in big SEC games he was nowhere to be found. Will he get significantly more touches with a new OC and a year of experience under his belt? Any reps as a RB?

I want to see him get more involved, hopefully he has a big year. I think he will.

It's hard to predict considering we don't even know who's coming but like many things in our offense it can't get much worse then it was.

If I were a new OC I'd show up at LSU and look at the weapons at my disposal and RS is a big X factor. I feel like he can only get better then he has been so far, I'm optimistic about developing RS even more and making him an even greater asset.

Regardless of who takes over, run heavy or pass heavy, Shepard is a weapon that has to be used

I think we need to see who the new OC is before even discussing this.

Shep needs to work this offseason to improve period. He is just not producing consistently yet. He wanted to move WR, and now it is time for him to prove to the coaches they made the right decision moving him there.

I want nothing more than for him to be successful cause he is a great kid and has all the weapons but he has a lot of work to do. He always looks confused this year, dropped passes that him right in hands and got caught a few times. You can do it Shep we love ya always have!

He had one year at the position man, at this level you don't just become instant all-american.

I would like to see him play running back. I think its the only thing he's good at.

He wasn't being used to his strengths this year. He's not the kind of receiver that makes catches over the top while running downfield yet he was consistently being sent on those routes. He's a guy that can catch a slant or a crossing route then make some moves. Same thing with screens, either WR screens or even out of the RB position.

Exactly he is a slot type reciever.

I wouldn't be suprised if he ended being a QB again with good enough coaching.

Too small and too much talent in front of him to ever play RB at lsu

Sure. But LSU didn't throw these passes well last year.

I just hope he is used within the normal flow of the offense. When he has gotten the ball in the past, it has always seemed forced, which also made it predictable.

But what if RB is the only thing that he is 'good at'?

Then he needs to be better at it than the person of front of him to play.

He has the pattern (Harvin). . . he needs to work on his hands, route running, and size.

I think he needs the ball quick for he can have some room to make it happen, like on screens JJ could never zip the ball to him and let him loose.
