Thanks for the great info on blocking techniques. However, I just had one observation. I have noticed that well over half the starting OL on Division I teams seem to weight at least 300, so it seems like this is getting to be the norm. I like most fans, prefer this & notice that is the case with this year's LSU OL--so that must be a close second to technique.

I was a baseball player, not football, so please realize I am just trying to understand this.

Well theres obviously a tipping point where power overcomes technique especially when that player is just as technical as you. My point was there big guys that play football everywhere, the guys that stick have good footwork. Big guys that cant move are the worst lineman

Ive seen a 140 pound tackle kick a 280 DEs arse based on technique and leverage

Yeah. He told me that one day long ago, never really asked him anything I am asking here. He is 6'4 pushing 300. I tried to push him to go to a ULL or la tech or something, but he has a heart condition that was found out his senior season and couldn't get cleared. He was crushed.
