I don't remember before being a fan, as I was raised a fan. Remember hating my second grade teacher because she went to Ole Miss and talked about Archie Manning all the time. I remember listening to games over the radio from the family camp site and wishing our team could beat the Crimson Tide. Attended LSU in the early 80s and loved my time in the student section even watching LSU lose to Tulane in the rain.
It's probably tougher these days because expectations have gone through the roof.

Yes, I'm old. Or maybe I just went back in time.

Geauxt, I can't possibly be as old as you are.

1972-1979 watched the few games that were on TV and listened to all the others on the radio.
1980 Tulane was first game in Tiger Stadium.
Since 1981 I have attended almost every home game.

We had one tv in the house and my oldest brother is the only one other than me(now got my younger brother and nephew in it) who actually watches any sports. ended up watching them in 2005 when we finally got a second tv.

1966 Cotton Bowl: LSU 14 Arkansas 7. Everyone was saying LSU had no business being there.

When I was a kid the 1981 final four team began my love of LSU. I followed all sports from that point on as well as a kid can. I became extreme when I was a student in 1990. Haven't missed a game since.

1973 - I was going to and watching games before that with my dad, but in 1973 I was 7 and I understood and participated in game day excitement from that point.

1958 - had an uncle who spoke of LSU Football in spiritual terms and I've been a rabid fan ever since. My uncle died a few years ago but at least one "GEAUX TIGERS" I yell at every game is in his memory.
