What would your reaction be if it ends up being Herman?

I would be excited. I know some would be pissed but Herman seems to be the real deal.

Guy is an offensive guru, can recruit, and knows how to win. It would be extremely risky (anyone coming in will be risky to an extent) but I think the guy is gonna be a great coach whenever he lands at a big program.

Thoughts?

I would rather Jimbo, but I'd be happy with either Herman or Fuente.

Fuente doesn't excite me. Herman or Fedora seem like better options

Depends on what kind of DC he would hire, but I think he would be a good hire

Russian Roulette. You're talking about a first-year head coach with one 10 win season. Curley also had a 10-win season in his first year at Southern Miss.

You could get Saban but you could also get Curley.

Herman is the top name on my list... as far as names we could realistically get without spending a billion dollars.

He withdrew his name from consideration in that search.

Is real deal defined by a single season at a mid level college? I get his knowledge as an OC, but a single season at Houston doesn't instill optimism in the masses of an elite program.

I'd be very disappointed if we hired him. He only has one year of head coaching experience at a mid-major school. I think the book is still out on his ability to recruit. He's a major gamble, and I'm not that risk-seeking.
