The renovations that need to be done to the Box are minor compared to what the PMAC needs. The PMAC needs major renovations or just needs to be torn down. There are several relatively minor changes that could be mad to the Box to improve the look/feel.

How is this even a question??? In spite of what some neanderthals believe on this board, only two sports truly matter in college. Football and Men's basketball. PERIOD.
No other sport even registers STATISTICALLY SPEAKING nationally.
We should require each sport to fund itself at each school, but that will never happen because the two big sports carry every other sport at MOST schools. The gals and the other minor sports would pitch a fit if they had to support themselves. If/when you downvote this, prove me factually wrong. Betcha can't.

Upgrading facilities and increasing ticket prices is Bull shite. If your candy arse can't enjoy a sporting event at the facilities that currently exist then stay the F home! We keep upgrading and increasing cost of attending these events for what? The only thing a player should worry about is whats going on on the court or between the white lines! Sick of all this bigger and better crap just for the sake of keeping up with the Jones's.

I feel like you can do both. Basketball is in more immediate need, baseball, you can pretty easily move the bullpen mounds and then work your way to replacing bleachers little by little

Yes what greedy bastards they should be able to make these improvements with fairy dust. All the seats should be free and the concessions should be steak and lobster also free

Build a new basketball only arena and rennovate the PMAC for other sports.
They need to move the track and field indoor and outdoor and the natatorium by the softball field and create an Olympic sport facility.
Then build the new basketball arena where the track is and turn the rest of that area into parking and where the PMAC currently is they can do a gameday fanzone with food trucks and beer vendors.
ETA: they have had at least one sports architecture firm come in and tell them to do this. It would be really expensive but really nice in the long run.

Baseball, but that’s because I’m a bigger LSU baseball fan. Both need it in my opinion, so I wouldn’t be upset either way.

I’m not an architect so explain to me how you “easily “ move the bullpens. Something has to be torn down to move them. They really need to be moved but I don’t think the solution is easy.

There are ways to do it. They could just put a wall around where they are now. Alex Box has too much foul ball territory anyway.

The box is fine besides the damn bleachers…
The Box is cheaply made and ugly.

There is plenty of space in right centerfield to put them and build a wall around.
Its moving and compacting dirt, it aint that expensive. The tougher one is the ones in left field. Like suggested, you could leave them in place and build a wall around them but it shrinks the foul territory. There is a small space in left centerfield you could put them. Maybe take out one section of bleachers if need be.

Those are the “easy” ways to do it. There is a harder way where you totally rebuild the outfield bleachers and place them there.

Obviously that would be preferred, just not sure lsu will do things the “right way”
