Baseball - I'm an LSU fan but I don't care about basketball.

basketball over baseball easily. bball brings more national respect and attention. march madness is arguably the single biggest sporting even of the year. the cws? i think probably half of america wouldn't even know what that acronym stands for

Get your facts right. LSU basketball does not make money for the school. Football and BASEBALL do.

LSUsports.net

Nearly 41 percent of LSU’s revenue – a total of $26 million – comes from ticket sales. Football accounts for the greatest majority of ticket sales, with over $22.5 million coming from ticket sales in Tiger Stadium. Men’s basketball and baseball account for about $1.5 million each, and women’s basketball generates approximately $500,000 in ticket sales.

Of the $10.2 million that LSU will receive from the SEC this summer, approximately $7.3 million is related to football and $2.9 is related to men’s basketball.

baseball or basketball?
Hoops for me. I started going to basketball and football game in '73 when to be honest baseball was a minor sport every bit as much as track or tennis.
I didn't even go to a baseball game until I was a student in the mid-80's.
I always got into baseball for tournament time and still do, but the engrained passion I have for basketball and football will never be approached by baseball no matter how many titles.

Perhaps, but those numbers don't account for the expenses of the two sports and ticket revenue is the same. Do more and longer baseball games in the sun sell more concessions, perhaps?
It mentions money coming in this summer, does baseball bring in money from the SEC later in the year after baseball is complete? If several SEC teams go to the College World Series does it produce anything? What is a regional and super regional worth.
The difference in revenue may not be much at all.
Women's BBall brings in 500K in tickets and probably loses a couple of million.

basketball over baseball any day of the week.
You might as well as "basketball or womens softball", because baseball isn't any more relevant than women's softball.
And if you disagree than maybe Tim Brando can talk some sense into your Cajun skull.
ETA: PING!!!!!!!

If I HAD to chose, it would be basketball. I've been to alot more basketball games than I have baseball. Other than that I want all sports at LSU to be the best in the nation.

Unfortunately, I'm assuming you are too young to have experienced the wild and crazy days of the PMAC. A lot of the "new" LSU fans (not referring to anyone specifically)that have come on board since 2003 have no clue what LSU basketball and the PMAC are capable of.
So true. When I was in Junior High at Brame in Alexandria, my dad took me down to BR to see if we could get tickets to an LSU basketball game during the Chris Jackson, Stan Roberts, Shaq days. We got to campus and were unable to procure tickets. I remember walking around campus that day and I told my dad I would go to LSU for college. 4 states and 5 years later I enrolled at LSU. My how things had changed...went from "no tickets available" to "show your student ID at the door after your Wednesday night class and get in for free."
BTW, thanks for the updates on B-ball Stro. I can't get LSU ball here in Kansas, but due to your updates I've been well ahead of the national recognition. I was at church tonight and someone came up to me and said, "yeah, I heard LSU was doing well in basketball this year." I wanted to tell him that he should check out Stromile Swift's B-ball updates on TD.
