quote:frick people like you. I graduated from LSU. Your no more a fan of LSU than anyone else in this board. Some of us have family and obligations. Not all of our life’s revolve around 19 year olds playing baseball.
I’ve been to all the home games using my grandstand season tickets.
Your silly StubHub tickets don’t count.
I’m not reading all hag other bullshite you posted.
Let me ask you this- How much money did LSU receive from the SEC Network this past year? I posted it earlier in this thread little fella.

UGA’s stadium is small. But it’s nice looking. Only bleachers are in right field. Which is free entry. The walls and facades are clean and without ads. It’s a third the size of the box but it’s so damn practical. Walking distance from the main campus, bars, and nice apartments (our AirBnB). Worst part about it was the speaker system.
It’s an example of how to do things right with a smaller fan base.

I’ve sat in the bleachers 10 times. I’ve never wanted a chair back, the box isn’t some terrible stadium.

It’s all relative.
Lsu baseball makes money. Lsu baseball has tradition. Lsu baseball has a huge fan base.
And lsu baseball has one of the “newer” stadiums that, when built, wasn’t close to the best in the sec much less the nation. That’s disappointing.

Absolutely! Looks very similar to our HS (Class B) Field.

Bleachers look cheap. Replace the one on the lines with chair backs.
Walk around concourse in the outfield with a restaurant area behind new batters eye in center.
Would be SRO, maybe a few handicapped chairs/areas.

Ahhhhh, another simpleton about the ads on the wall.

I disagree.
It is a great place to play and watch baseball.
But I don’t care about much of anything other than the game. I don’t care about concessions, or chairbacks. I like green grass a light breeze and baseball. I take my family. I like to spread out on the bleachers w my kids and chill

Better food, berm somewhere in the outfield, get rid of bleachers and add chair backs, area to have beers where you can actually see the game (maybe a party deck).

True. Apparently the Braves, Dodgers, Phillies, Marlins, Mariners, Reds and countless other major league teams are high school stadiums because of the ads on the outfield walls and every place in the stadium you can imagine.

All stadiums with no bleachers down the lines and no ugly, multicolored ads on the fences:
Baum - Last renovation in 2007
Founders Park - Built in 2009
Hawkins Field - Built in 2002
Foley Field - Built in 1966 renovated in 2015
Lupton Stadium - Built in 2003; renovated in 2016
Sewell-Thomas stadium - Built in 1948; last renovated in 2015
Horner Ballpark - Built in 2013
I could post more. Obviously doesn’t include the Dude, Olson, Swayze and others. I tried to include a variety to show that big doesn’t mean better.

I care about my experience which includes the food and comfort. The LF bleachers are a fricking joke.

Strap JA and FKA to the backstop. Play ball!

I think the chairbacks down the line will happen soon. They’ll probably add more suites down the lines in the next renovation too. I think a berm is a pipe dream because it’s something that seems pretty easy to add and the fans have been asking for since they built the new Box.
As for the ads. Do we want to be like TCU and Tennessee?

quote:I have zero problem with ads in general. They make sense for obvious reasons. There’s no reason for them to be as ugly as they are however. Way too many examples of them done tastefully.
As for the ads. Do we want to be like TCU and Tennessee? How many of those programs actually have businesses that want to pay to put their name in the stadium? Are we going to ignore that ads on outfield walls are as old as the fricking game itself?

BETTER CONCESSIONS....how about better nachos and a frozen coke
A hot dog that is actually hot and not stone cold with a stale bun
How about a hamburger cooked on a grill

Yat, you get it. The ads on the walls are as old as the game itself. It's actually part of the charm of baseball. Watch films of major league baseball form the 1950's and they're everywhere. Same is true today.
Watching major league baseball tonight, I even saw a Barbasol ad. Classic! I also saw Kroger, State Farm and Geico. And none of them detracted from the play on the field or the enjoyment of the fans. A good time was had by all.

I e been to Bama, SC and Arky.
None of those experiences are earth shattering. Baum has some seats you just don’t want
