Why not wait until a player scores the winning TD in a national championship game.
What is the big deal of scoring against Sam Highschool.

what if next time we score a TD the entire team strikes the heisman pose.
Now that would be goddam hilarious!

If Yeldon struck the pose against florida atlantic you people would be tearing him up

Nope, still wouldn't give a shite. It was a stupid kid doing a stupid thing and it's over and done with and WAY beyond time to move on.

Do you remember the way McCarron would celebrate during his younger years and the reaction he would get from Saban?

It had nothing to do with SHSU and everything to do with his 1st TD.

I don't think anyone minds college players having a little fun, but how about waiting until you've actually done something to warrant such action before doing it. The reaction would (and should) have been the same if another player from any other team would have struck the "Heisman pose" in week 2 vs. a 1-AA opponent, to laugh at how absurd the gesture was

Desmond Howard did it after a big punt return, in the final week of the season, against his school's biggest rival, at a time where it was largely considered that he was the Heisman front runner. All of those factors combined (along with Keith Jackson's "hellooooooo Heisman" call) made it a classic CFB moment. The impromptu nature for Howard makes it memorable. The rest of these guys (not just LF) who do it, just look like clowns. Timing is everything.

Exactly. It is amazing to me that this actually needs to be explained to people.

4 TDs and 300 yards in 2 games would at least warrant production for a heisman pose, but it's still only 2 games and SHSU

I'd say at the end of the year, and if you're in the Heisman running it would be warranted. Second game against SHSU, nah.

Imagine if a freshman Alabama RB had done this, what would LSU's fan reaction have been?

Who cares? He made a minor mistake. There is no victim here. He's 18 or 19. The coach took care of it.

This guy is getting is worse from the media (and fans) that Mills, who is accused of hitting a woman.

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure Gurley (who is actually is Heisman discussion) didn't do the pose after racking up 200 yards and 3 TDs in Geargia's first game.

Doesn't matter who does it, still pretty dang stupid.

Everyone has this wrong. It was not a Heisman Pose. Look at a photo of it. Each hand is doing the BUGA Nation sign, the ball is on the ground not in his arrms, one leg is raised, left hand is on his face. This is a BUGA Nation is coming for you! pose. I can understand the national media getting it wrong, but locals should know better.

All well and good but the Buga nation needs to create a more unique pose. It's still show boating bringing attention to you and not spreading the attention to the guys that got you into the end zone.

I'd bet most of these posters were still in diapers when that happened.

Everyone has their own opinion on the LF pose. I think the kid was just excited after hearing everyone say that he did not live up to expectations. We forget he is 18 years old and imagine what any of us would have done we got the chance to score a touchdown in Tiger Stadium.

If Mills returns an INT for a TD, runs to the stands and slaps a woman on live TV he would get worse than LF.

It was not wise for Fournette to do, and set him up for a shite load of ridicule. You can only blame one person for this. Personally, I thought he did it in jest but the rest of college football will just use it to point and laugh at him.

At this point everybody should let it go.

Older people think it's dumb.
Younger people think it's great.

It's a generational thing.
Obv the head coach chewed him out and we won't have to deal with this again.

I'm older generation and didn't like it, but I was actually 18 once so I can understand..and didn't Miles say there were worse things he could have done?

Still, Manziel did the same sort of things and most on this board thought he was (and still is) a punk, so Buga should know better.

Who was the coach that said when you get into the end zone, act like you've been there before?
