Not at all. If Wade is going to stay, get the "investigation" out of the way early and move on. There is nothing worse that some lingering investigation (e.g. the endless investigating of Trump).
I could see someone lurking, thinking "we'll hit LSU basketball with an investigation during recruiting season."

You’re both right and wrong.
LSU was probably the last school on the conference to do this kind of thing. The problem they ran into was the strain the amount of people and trash were putting on the campus and personnel. The campus after a big game was totally fricked. The tailgating game had gotten way out of hand. I have no issues with them trying to earn revenue for it. Everything on campus has to be maintained and that costs money.
The corporate tailgate is in the footprint of an old building that was demolished. So it’s not occupying any traditional space. Tailgating was unhinged for far too long. It needed to be somewhat regulated.

Not much. Just the fact that they pretty much killed the entire inner part of campus between Highland and Nicholson by making anything that resembles a parking lot a parking pass lot. That section of campus on S. Stadium has been on a steady decline every season. We had UGA and Bama on campus last year and campus was just ok for both. More and more people are not tailgating because of the hassle it's become. That needs to change.
Don't forget that parking on campus used to be free...everywhere except for immediately around the stadium. Since then, you now need a pass just to enter campus. Doing so completely annihilated the tailgating atmosphere. Even big bama games don't have half the tailgates that lower-tier SEC games used to draw before the changes back around 2010.
