He feels these attributes make up for whatever slight difference in talent you seem to perceive. He doesn't play upperclassmen just for the sake of it, he does it because he honestly feels like it gives LSU the best chance of winning. You may disagree with that

i do disagree with it

i care first and foremost about what results we see on the field. i don't care how good of a guy they are (within limits, but hell half the team or so rallied around the POS that was ryan11)

I didn't say that.

I just would like to see more 5 wide sets than LSU has previously run.

I think it really boils down to emphasis on team versus player.

Your way of thinking always seems to value the individual player as opposed to team. It is a trend across the board.

Teams don't get championship ready by preparing based on individual accomplishments.

Hot Carl and I see eye to eye on this and he states it rather well, so I won't take away from it.

If RJ Jackson does not show the ability to receive as well as block, our playbook is severely reduced. I personally know an ex-Saban quality control guy whose only job was to sit up in the box and recognize trends and personnel changes.

Our staff is aware of this and won't put him on the field as a blocker only. If that's the case, they'll only do it to set up a big play.

Regardless of the protection we can get JJ and how he can handle himself back there alone?

Also, on your post where you listed Clayton's and Reed's numbers from 2001, are you expecting JJ to have a year like Ro did in '01?

i've heard that RJ will be the #4 WR over randall. that just doesn't seem to be right unless he's turns his body around

Who exactly have you heard this from? LSU hasn't even started their second batch of practices, so the only freshmen who have played are Minter, Shep, Calhoun, and I feel like I am missing someone else.

Obviously Randle was attending high school while all the other guys on the depth chart were practicing, so he's not at the top of the depth chart. That will most likely change very quickly once real practices begin. I highly doubt the number 2 recruit in the country is going to put up Ricky Dixon numbers as the number 5 receiver.

No clue.

all he needs to do is limit mistakes, and make the plays he can make, and LSU will do okay this year.

Well, wouldn't you agree that if Randle were to have a season similar to that of Clayton in 2001, and Lafell and Toliver avoid injury and both have successful years, it would mean that JJ would had to have had a solid season?

I think Randle is capable of putting up similar numbers as Clayton did in '01, but he won't have a 5th year senior throwing to him.

And that's fine. I don't agree with it 100% either. But let that be the conversation, not this:

I really don't think Miles is stupid enough to base his personnel decisions on whether or not someone helps old ladies cross the street or who he wants to have a beer with 10 years from now. It's like Maximus's lame arse "BBQ Buddy" criticism. Malvetto turned out to be a horrible, horrible decision, but you're retarded if you actually think it had anything to do with who he likes to eat hamburgers with on Sunday afternoon.

it's odd how slow thinks work ethic and preparation contribute very little to success on the field...he probably watches the Iverson "Practice" video every night before he goes to bed.

and common sense would dictate that les miles, while may be a good person and overall good coach, is not perfect, and has made mistakes in his 4 years of coaching at LSU.

Never said he didn't. I said YOU and everyone else on this board is not qualified to critique them. All you can do is whine about it like the stupid bitches you all are.
